"Horrific.." murmered scout with raven black hair.
"You shouldn't have come." Said a voice as Nereid awoke.
Nereid looked around and saw a brown haired scout standing frozen with her arm raising a staff with a golden orb on top.
"Charon." Said Nereid, glad to see the girl allive. "Pluto was worried."
Unspoken surpise showed in Charon's eyes a moment and then passed.
"Why didn't you run?"
"It's not my style to run from battle."
"There are times where one must retreate in order to fight."
"Maybe I wanted this to happen." Said Nereid as she began to work on the shackles holding her to the wall.
Charon's yes examined the raven haired scout who was sure of her self and then sighed.
"Charon, why didn't they chain you?"
"As long as I am frozen, so are the Youma up above." Said Charon. "They know this and so they didn't bother to chain me."
Nereid looked at Charon in respect and then returned her attention to her cuffs. Finally there was a snap and her right hand was free.
"How?" asked Charon, her eyes showing surprise.
"A friend of my cousin, Michiru, showed me." Said Nereid, grinning as she removed the left.
She walked over to Charon, "I'm going to try and destroy the Youma up top, then you can stop your attack and…"
Elsewhere, a man, his wife, two young children and a white haired teen appeared in Atlantica Palace on Neptune where Princess Michiru stood going over charts for plans of attacks and defenses in the war against Queen Beryl. Hearing something behind her, she turned in surprise and saw the tired looking travelers and sensing no hostilities walked over to them.
"Welcome to my courts." she said pleasently noticing that they had been rushed.
Her eyes widened momentarily as the father kneeled suddenly and held out an envelope. She took it getnly, but eagerly when she noticed that her cousin's handwritting was upon it. As she read she heard her best friend, the Prince of Uranus, stride into the room.
She nodded to him as she continued reading of the situation and then the part asking that the bearer be allowed to live on Nereid.
"So, you are a deserter from the Negaverse?" she asked in surprise.
The man nodded, "I never believed that this war was right, and meeting Sailor Nereid helped me decide."
"I see." said Michiru signaling to the Prince not to worry. "In respect of my cousin's request, you will...."
She was cut off suddenly as a figure appeared a few feet away and raised it's arm towards her.
"Die, ruler of Neptune!" shouted the assassin and shot a number of barbs at her.
"Look out!" shouted the white haired teen, leaping forward and pushing Michiru out of the way.
The Prince took immeadiate action and ran towards the Youma as the Father also charged forward. Both drew thier swords and attacked with unspoken fury. The Youma didn't have a chance.
A moment later it lay dead at the men's feet. Michiru slowly got up and was joined by the Prince.
"You should have more gaurds." said the Prince in concern.
Michiru smiled at the Prince, "I will assign more later. That girl..."
She stopped for a second time when she noticed the girl laying in a curcled postion on the floor, holding a torn sleeve of her gray jumpsuit. The Prince was immeadiatly at her side and examined the wound.
"She's been poisoned." she said looking at Michiru gravely.
One of the small children whimpered and Michiru blew a golden horn that hung at her side. Three gaurds rushed in and she pointed to the white haired girl.
"Quick, take her to my personal physician. She has just saved my life and was poinsoned!"
The gaurds moved swiftly and soon had the girl in the guest chambers with the Princess's physician.
After hiding Charon in a safe place Neried crept through the ruins of Infinity fortress.
"You still there Charon?" she thought in her mind.
"I am still safe, if that is what you are hinting towards." said Charon's voice.
Nereid smiled and silently wondered how Charon could communicate with the scout.
"I am the gardian of space and matter." said Charon's voice. "I can read the minds of those around."
Nereid blushed and continued onwards.
"Continue forward towards the left courtyard." instructed Charon's voice.
"You can see this area to..." she murmered in surprise.
"You are full of interesting emotions." said Charon suddenly.
"Are you sifting my memories again?"
"Do they not get in the way of your work?" continued Charon, not taking notice of the annoyance in Nereid's thoughts.
"Not always. Sometimes it is good to show emotion."
Charon didn't answer and Nereid continued to the courtyard. Instantly she ducked into gap in the walls in alarm. Charon picked up on the emotion and Nereid could almost feel a tension grow about her.
"What are you doing?"
"I am feeling the area for you. There are eight Youma. All but one are frozen."
Nereid peered into the courtyard and looked for one that was moving.
"Which one?"
"I cannot pin point it from here."
"Thanks."
"You are being sarcastic?"
Nereid smiled and then crept into the courtyard. Instantly, she found out which of the rock like Youma was unfrozen as it leapted at her. She dodged and landed a few feet away.
When she turned, she could no longer tell which had been the one she's been attacked by. She closed her eyes a moment and a flash of memories appeared. She opened them again and then
raised both hands out before her, her palms outward.
"Cyclone ..." she shouted.
Water swirled about and then small cyclones appeared before her, each mergeing with another till they became one before her.
"Incirclement!" she finished.
The large water spout surged forward and smashed into the Youma that remained. It screamed out as it was worn away by the water and then dissappeared along with th other Youma in the courtyard.
Nereid smiled and looked around.
"There is another bunch in the next courtyard."
"How many did you freeze?"
"Over a thousand..." answered Charon's voice. "Less then Two thousand though. My attack didn't have enough range to get all of them."
Nereid sighed and walked towards the next courtyard.
"So she is not on of your children, let allone a full blooded Negaversian." said Michiru in surpise.
The mother nodded, "Her father was a famous general. Her mother was from somehwere on Uranus."
The Prince turned to them in surprise.
"What was the mother's name?" he asked.
The mother thought a moment and then shook her head, "I don't think she every really spoke of her mother to us. She only watched the children while Pental and I worked."
"Perhaps one of the children know?" asked Michir, seeing that her friend wanted to know.
"Maybe." said the mother and she fetched her eldest child. "Illandya. what was Lettie's mother's name."
The younger child thought a moment and smiled, "She said it was Eliaha Wai Lily Shira."
The Prince looked at Illandya in surprise, "Are you certain?"
The child thought a moment and then nodded with a bright smile. The Prince bolted off, running towards the guest chambers where the now recuperation girl was staying. She knocked and entered.
The girl blushed and pulled the covers up a bit, "Hi."
"Forgive my bluntness, but was you're mother, Eliaha Wai Lily Shira?"
"Yes," said the white haired girl in surprise.
The Prince's smile grew and she blushed as he suddenly embrassed her.
"Sir, please..."
"Don't call me sir! I'm your cousin!" exclaimed the Prince.
The girl's face grew surprised as the Prince laughed and once again embraced her.
"You are almost done." said Charon's voice, almost encouragingly. "Only one more Sectors."
"With hundreds of Youma searching for me in between."
Charon was silent as Nereid continued onwards. Suddenly she noticed a black fog rolling in.
"Beware!" warned Charon's voice. "That fog has sort of hallugentic mater in it."
"Don't fear..." started Nereid and then grinned.
"I don't fear anything Sailor Nereid. I was merely telling you of the upcoming danger."
"You're annoyed."
Charon was silent and Nereid smiled in a silent victory. She walked into the final area and her eyes widened. Bodies of Youma lay strewn about, and normal Negaverse people walked about placing the bodies on carts to take out of Charon's range.
Nereid lifted both hands up into the air, "Aqua!"
The ground began to rumble as water spouted up and swirled about her.
"Solution!" she shouted.
"Ancelin has been gone too long." said Michiru, her voice filled with concern.
The Prince of Uranus looked at his friend and then hugged her.
"I'll go and find her." he said comfotingly.
Michiru smiled up at him, her aqua marine hair blowing about her face, framing it in a picture of beauty.
"Thank you Haruka."
Haruka nodded and dissappeared into the palace. Inside he was met by his cousin, now dressed in a silken blue dress, her white hair flowing down, out of the normal ponytail.
"Where are you going?" she asked him.
"I am traveling to the planet Xanthia. I fear that Nereid and Charon are there now." said Haruka looking at his younger cousin.
"I am coming too." said the white haired girl.
"No, you're not." said Haruka firmly.
"I am." said the girl. "I know the Negaverse better than you do. You'll need someone to help get you through."
"Violette, I won't place you in danger." said Haruka. "So you're staying here with Michiru."
Violette's blue eyes looked into Haruka's and they stared at eachotehr for a long time before Haruka groaned.
"Fine, but at the first sign of trouble you're gone."
Violette smiled and both walked off seperate ways to prepare.
A few days later, somewhere in the Negaverse, Charon stared at the hateful and gloating faces around her.
"You're friend may have destroyed the Youma sent onto this planet, but it will be you who pays for it!" said Beryll, her eyes glistening with hate.
Charon, no long frozen in her attack, stood unemotionally before the evil queen, chained to the floor.
"Leave her alone Beryll!" shouted a voice from the darkness.
Beryll and her minions turned and saw Nereid, battle stained, come walking towards them.
"So you are this Sailor Nereid." said Beryll with a sickening smile. "Welcome to my court."
"I've come for my friend Beryll." said Nereid firmly. "Let her go."
Suddenly Beryl's hand raised and dark energy shot out and struck Nereid. Nereid cried out, but continued walked towards Charon, struggling against the force of dark energy.
"Nereid, no!" exclaimed Charon, her eyes widening.
Nereid ignored her and continued struggling onwards.
"Charon is a very special friend, and I won't let you hurt her." said Nereid, her eyes filled with determination.
The generals in the crowd murmered and watched thier queen as she placed out both hands, using even more energy. Charon watched as a feel crept into her heart.
"No!" she creamed out suddenly as she watched Nereid fall to her knees and continue forward through the pummeling of dark energy. "Midnight Cry!"
There was a clash of sound and she raised her hands. A dark purple sphere appeared and then shot forward at Beryl. Beryl opened her mouth to scream out in surprise and just as she was to be hit and general leapt before her and took to blow.
Nereid saw her chance and painfully went over to Charon. She looked up at Charon, who surprised her with a soft smile and then lifted her staff, that had appeared in her hand. It glowed and they both vanished.
"I want both of them found and brought to me dead or allive!" screamed Beryll. "But Preferably Dead!"
The Generals dissappeared one by one to search for the two scouts. Beryle sneered, the shielding on the planet was the best and the scouts would not be able to escape without help, and there was no one who would on Nemisis.
"This is it." said the Lady Violette as both looked at the palace that had once been Princess Allysa's.
"Something has sturred up the air." said Haruka, his blue eyes searching over everything.
Violette nodded and held up a finger to her lips as she vanished around a corned. Haruka peered around it and saw that Violette was speaking with one of the generals milling around. She smiled and talked a long while till they shook hands and parted seperate ways.
She returned and he looked at her expectantly.
"Nereid and Charon are in hiding on the planet. They escape from Queen Beryl and she's placed a bounty on thier heads." she informed him.
Haruka grimiced, "A whole planet to search."
"We can do it." said Violette, a strange glint in her eyes.
"You'll return to Neptune." said Haruka.
Violette frowned, "With the shielding they have, you won't get off this planet once you've found them."
"Then we'll have to discuss a meeting time and you come back later. I won't have you being here more than you have to."
Violette frowned once more, but nodded. Haruka, slightly pleased that she'd give allowed her to hug him farewell, and then vanished, using her Negaverse powers.
