Violette walked quietly through the fortress, her blue eyes searching the surroundings for any sign of the two that had dissappeared from Beryl's court.
"Excuse me." said a man comming up to her.
She looked at him and cocked her head, "What?"
"Are you Kalinyte?" asked the man looking at her.
She looked at him in surprise.
"I am." she said, refering to her name in the Negaverse.
"The Queen has been seeking you since you dissappeared a few days ago."
"Me?" asked Violette in surprise. "Why would she want to speak to me. Since my father's death, I've never been noticed before."
The man shrugged and smiled, "Maybe she wants to promote you to a postition of something."
Violette smiled outwardly, but inwardly she worried. Why did Beryll want her?
Haruka felt something dark and froze. Suddenly there was a pain at the back of his head and he colasped unconsious to the ground.
"I sense another Scout is near." said Charon suddenly.
Nereid looked at Charon hopefully, "Are you sure?" she asked.
Charon nodded. "Headed for the palace right now. We need to move if we are to intercept them."
Haruka awoke and found himself before Queen Beryl herself. He stood up immeadiately and went for his sword, but found it gone. Beryl chuckled and looked at him with a gleam in her eye.
"So my young fool. Who sent you?" she asked.
He felt relieved inwardly that she did not recognize him and merely looked at her with a slight smirk.
"I sent myself."
"Don't give me that!" said Beryll angrilly, her sharp teeth gleaming menacingly. "Who brought you!? You couldn't have gotten onto this planet without help! Which of my people is the traitor!"
Haruka remained silent and the Queen studies him a moment.
"You obviously need some persation." she said in an evil voice.
A red beam struck him in the temple from a rod in her hand and he screamed in agony. He felt his body shifting and his skin moving and then he colasped unconsious to the floor.
Violette froze in her tracts at the sound of the scream and placed her hand against a ball. It glowed with ther energy of the Negaverse, and then the image of what was going on in the throne room appeared.
"NO!" she gasped and closed her eyes.
There was a flash of dark energy, and she was gone from the corridor and appeared in the throne room, right before Haruka's figure. The Queen looked surprised at Violette and then smiled.
"Ah, Kalinyte. Welcome, I have missed your presence. I would like to have a talk with you in a few moments."
"I have not come because of you." said Violette, her voice filled with surprising venom. "I am here for my cousin."
The Queen looked at Violette in surprise, "Surely you jest. He is not of us."
"My mother's side." said Violette bluntly.
A devilish grin swept across Beryll's face, "Ah, so that was the young prince of Uranus that I have changed."
Violette started to turn to see what she meant by changed and froze as a large number of her army surrounded her. Without thinking twice, Violette raised her hands and shot a number of them away from her with Negaverse energy.
Suddenly, Nephlite, a man she had loved dearly was before her.
"Stop this, Kalinyte!" he said urgently. "Stop this treason!"
She looked at Nephrite, her eyes sad, and she saw that one day, not today, that he would realise the truth of what side he was on. She shook her head, and moved away from him and to her cousin.
Nephrite looked truely sorry as he raised his palm and blasted her. Meawhile, Haruka slowly began to awake and new sensations tingled in his body. He opened his eyes and noticed to buldges on his chest, his eyes widened when he... no she relized what had happened.
Then he saw Nephrite shoot Violette who was standing over him protectively and sent her flying. Instantly Haruka was to her feet and ran like the wind, after Violette's soaring form. She caught Violette before she smashed into a wall and glowered at Beryll and her minions.
Then she noticed that her cousin's forehead glowed. Her eyes widened, as did Beryll's, but before anything could come of it, there was a flash and Nereid and Charon stood before Haruka and Violette, Charon's orb on her staff creating a bubble around them instantly.
"She's one of us." said Nereid, seeing the glowing sign of a moon, half covered in darkness with sign of uranus in the middle.
"She's a Gaurdian Scout too?" asked Haruka, her face showing surprise.
"Who are you?" asked Charon, looking at Haruka.
Haruka blushed, "I was the "Prince" of Uranus, but now I am a "Princess of Uranus."
Nereid looked at him in shock and outside the bubble the Negaversians assaulted the bubble with attacks.
"I cannot hold this forever Nereid." said Charon, her voice now sounding strained.
Nereid nodded and placed her hands over Charon's. There was a blinding flash and they were gone.
Oberon's face flushed, "As long as one Gaurdian or Scout lives, you'll never win."
"You are niave, Gaurdian. But I will let you live if you tell me where the other Gaurdians are hiding." said Beryl, an evil smile over her face.
"If I tell you where she is, I am allowed to live in peace." said Oberon with a harsh voice. "I am not the nieve one, you are if you think that I would tell you that in order to save my own life."
"So be it." said the figure as she faded off. "Good-bye Sailor Oberon. May your death be painful."
A wave of pain hit Oberon from behind and she crumpled to the ground.
There were lights, swirling about Violette's dream and she watched them in wonder. Then there was someone in a maroon, silver, gold, and forest green suit, almost like a type of uniform worn by the scouts. The skirt was green with a gold trim at the waist, the top cut off abover her mid rift, she carried a sort of whip, and her dark blue hair was held in a pony tail that swayed gently in a slight breeze.
"Violette." said the voice in a melodious voice.
"Who are you?" asked Violette her eyes widening.
"I am the Keeper of the Dimensions. I am the scout who knows all the happenings in the Universe. I am a Legendary Scout spoke of in the stories of the Sailor Wars. I am here, and yet not here."
"You speak in riddles." said Violette, her voice showing her imaptience.
"You are much like your great gradmother was." said the female, her hazel eyes looking sad.
"Please, who are you?" asked Violette, almost in a whisper.
"The question is, who are you." said the figure. "Violette, you come from a line of great warriors."
Violette held still, a tingling went up and down her spine and the woman continued.
"Your Great-Grand-Mother was a Sailor Scout named Starfire. She fought against Chaos when he entered you Dimension. She later met and married the King of Fireball, a planet in a system next to this one. Her husband died, but she had five children, and one of those was your Grandfather, Malkian, who was raised on Uranus, and later married a girl from the Negaverse's planet, Tavesion.
They had a son, and he married..."
"My mother." said Violette.
The woman nodded.
"Why do you tell me these things." asked Violette at last.
"Because at this moment that planet is undergoing a period of sleep. When they awaken that planet's golden age will begin, and after a few thousand years, it will fall. When that happens you will meet your family." said the female, her voice sounding woefull.
"If you know about these things, why do you not prevent it?" asked Violette.
"Because it would alter history. I tell only you because you will be the Gaurdian Scout, Oberon, keeper of the secrets and magics of your system."
"I am a Gaurdian Scout?" asked Violette her voice growing tense.
"Yes. The first and the last of Uranus." said the woman.
"Please, who are you?" asked Violette once again.
"Talk to the two who have seen much, and who have fought the darkness together. Two of five, of three still alive. One loosely tied, and one always near, gaurding the system from the evil tide. One with a marking over her eye, one with the sunlight and eyes as the blue sky."
"Another riddle?" asked Violette, her voice sounding dissappointed.
"Farewell Keeper of magic and secrets, daughter of Eliaha, daughter of Malaci, son of Malkian, son of Starfire, scout of the stars. May your path lead you straight, your pure heart gaurding Kingdom's gate."
The Keeper of Dimensions vanished and Violette woke up.
"Behind you!" shouted Nereid, seeing a Youma about to hack a large ax-like hand into Charon's back.
Charon turned in time to block the attack and then released another multicolored attack.
"They are poring out of the cracks!" said Charon, using a term she'd picked up from Nereid's mind at the begining of thier meeting.
Nereid smiled at Charon and was almost sure she had seen a slight smile on her stoic friends face too, but was force to turn away as a Youma attacked. She lashed out with her feet, knocking a large number away from her. She pushed a stray strand of black hair from her eyes and watched as Charon pulled back into the building.
"What are you doing?" she called.
"Get inside, we'll defend from there." answered Charon.
Haruka was almost finished, she had only a few more wires to connect when she heard someone behind her. She swung around, sweeping her sword into her hand as she did and was surprised to see another Sailor Scout.
"Haruka..." said the scout, sounding shocked. "What did that witch do to you?"
"Violette?" asked Haruka in surprise and noticed the place her cousin had been sleeping was now vacent.
The girl nodded and Haruka smiled, "SO which one are you?"
"I am Sailor Oberon, Gaurdian of Uranus." said Violette, she twirled slightly and her skimpy, navy blue skirt swirled about her hips.
"If I was a guy, I'd blush." joked Haruka.
Oberon looked at her sadly, "I wish I knew a way to change you back."
"It's alright." said Haruka with force that surprised him. "Somehow I think this was meant to be, and I feel..."
Haruka paused.
"I feel as though I am more complete, for some reason." she finished. "As though I was as gracefull as the winds."
Oberon looked at her cousin strangly, but both were interupted as Charon and Nereid entered and slammed the door shut. The sounds of inhuman screams and shouts came from behind the door.
"Haruka, is it...." started Nereid but stopped when she saw Oberon. "Another."
Charon turned and her eyes showed surprise, "Sailor Oberon."
Oberon nodded and looked at them, "Looks like you need help."
Both shook off the initial surprise and Charon looked to Haruka.
"How does it go?"
"Almost complete, only three more wires." said Haruka.
They watched as she conected them and then as the center of the room glowed as a portal appeared.
"Lets go!" shouted Nereid seeing the door begin to splinter.
Charon and Nereid ran through first as the door split open with a general in the lead.
"Violette!" gasped Nephrite in surprise.
Haruka caught hold of his cousin's arm and both ran through the portal. And then before any could follow, the portal closed and the machine exploded.
The four arrived in the palace on Uranus a few days later, and were met by a sad and happy Michiru. At first Michiru hadn't taken in the fact of Haruka's recent gender change, but that had changed quickly as she had tearfully hugged her best friend.
Both had left the room after that and talked over what had happened. Michiru had lost her kingdom, protecting it till the very end. She had barely escaped with her life, and her mother had been the one to save her.
Then there came news of Beryll's arm headed thier way once more. There was a desperate battle, but it too was lost....
A lone figure stood upon a cliff overlooking the royal city of Uranus. Her eyes showed the saddness she held within her as she watched smoke from the ruins curl upwards into the sky. A second figure appeared next to her and she looked at her cousin.
"It is over Haruka." said Violette, her blue eyes shimmering with unshed tears. "Uranus has fallen at last."
"We shall have our revenge on the Negaverse." said Haruka, laying a hand on her cousin. "For now we should go."
Violette nodded and clutched her hand into a fist as they both walked away and met up with Michiru, Haruka's best friend, and her cousin Ancelin. Both gazed at the two of Uranus with understanding. Both Michiru and Ancelin had lost thier homes as well.
"It will be up to Saturn now." said Michiru. "And it will not be able to stop this wave."
"It is too large." agreed Ancelin. "But Jupiter will cause the wave to begin to break."
Haruka nodded, "The inner planets will have to defend the moon."
"And the Gaurdians will be needed." said Violette, her eyes hard.
"Welcome Gaurdians." said a slightly husty voice.
The Princess of Uranus and Neptune stood behind the three gaurdians and watched as Charon, Oberon, and Nereid bow to King Saturnial, ruler of Saturn and it's moons. Next to him stood two daughters, a black haired girl that looked pale and fragile, and a aqua haired daughter, with tawneyt skin and looked a little more stronge than the other.
"My King." said Oberon, acting as the leader. "Queen Beryll and her armies are drawing close."
Saturnial nodded, "As I have been aware of for the last two days. We will do our part in protecting the inner kingdom."
Oberon nodded and Saturnial looked the Princesses, "You two have been summoned to the Moon Kingdom's palace on the moon. Queen Serenity wishes to speak with you."
Both friends exchanged a glance and then nodded. Later, after a brief conference with the King the three scouts met with the two parting Princesses.
"We'll miss you." said Nereid hugging both.
Haruka ran a hand through her hair, "I don't know what will come this, but once it is over, I will return and fight. No one will hurt the Queen and her family."
Michiru nodded, "I will also return."
Charon nodded and Oberon looked at her in surprise, "You know something."
Charon looked at Oberon and they looked eyes for a moment. Haruka broke the silence as she pulled Oberon with her to the side.
"You should lead them carefully." she said in a hushed voice. "Think clearly about what actions you take. Anything you do can turn this war."
Oberon nodded and they looked at eachother a moment. Oberon wanted to tell Haruka of her dreams of death, but held back.
"Prince Haruka, Princess Michiru, are you ready?" asked a paige arriveing in the corridor.
Both nodded and Oberon smirked at Haruka, who shifted slightly at being still called a Prince. Haruka gave Oberon a look and Oberon openly smiled at her. Then they were gone....
