A Scout Returns; The New Leader of the Gaurdian Scouts? Part 1

Oberon looked over the dusty fields of Saturn. War had destroyed most of it's splendor and beauty it had once held. All that remained of this planet of ruin was the palace and a few cities that surrounded it. Flashes of light appeared over the horizon and Oberon lifted her hands.
A mirror of dark energy appeared before he and she looked though to see a number of Youma and generals walking towards the castle for the next wave in their attack.
"Titan!" shouted Oberon cupping her hands to her mouth. "Here come more!"
Titan nodded, her aqua blue hair waving the breeze. Looking around, she signaled to the various soldiers and guards to get ready. Then her eyes caught sight of her cousin.
"Hotaru!" she murmured in surprise.
Titan walked over to her and smiled, "Welcome princess."
"Hi Janus!" said Hotaru, brightening at the familiar face. "What's going on?"
"The enemy is approaching," answered another voice.
Both turned and saw the Dark Knight walking towards them.
"Hotaru, I am sending you to the Moon for protection. This fight may be Saturn's last."
"But dad!" objected Hotaru. "I should stay and help!"
"Hotaru, you should do as he asks," said Titan gently, laying a hand on her younger cousin's shoulder.
Hotaru looked at her cousin a moment before nodding in agreement.
"I love you cousin," she whispered as she embraced the older girl.
"And I you," said Titan as she smiled. "I'll see you soon."
Hotaru nodded and walked over to her father, who took her hand and saluted Sailor Titan in respect before walking off. Titan returned to her position and looked into the valley below to see a group of Youma. This would not be easy.

Oberon, having moved to a different sector stood watching as a large group of Youma gather upon a hillside. She took in a sharp breath and stood upon a tall column. The Youma became quiet and looked up at her.
"You shall not destroy this planet as you did Xanthia, Pluto, Neptune, and Uranus," said Oberon, her eyes scanning over the Youma and the general sent to command them. "In the name of the planet Oberon, holder of the ancient magic of Uranus, you will not pass."
A female general with shocking red hair looked at Oberon shrewdly, as if not believing her.
"You have lost before Oberon. You will lose again."
"We shall see," said Oberon and clenched her teeth.
The general laughed and the Youma joined in with her.
"Magic Sphere Enlightenment" shouted Oberon as she lifted her hands and a crystal orb appeared.
The general took a step back in horror as the orb began to pulse with Oberon's energy and then flew towards the Youma. Oberon's eyes closed shut as she poured her energy into the orb till it reached the Youma.
The Youma cowered in fear and screamed out as the orb exploded, sending it's healing light over them all, changing them back into the peoples of the destroyed planets.
"Mystic teleportation!" shouted Oberon and crossed her arms.
A strong wind blew upwards, blowing her skirt around her legs. All of the restored peoples glowed a moment and then vanished, sent to earth to live. Oberon sank down the ground in exhaustion from the use of so much power and then realized that the general remained.
Oberon looked upwards to see the general flying towards her madly a large sword raised to strike. She was about to be hit when a golden sphere rammed into the general. The general screamed in pain and then vanished in the golden light.
Oberon looked around and saw another Scout standing and smiling at her.
"Haruka!" exclaimed Oberon.
"You like it?" asked Haruka turning around to show Violette every part of her uniform in a joking manner. "I was just made a protector of the princess and thought I'd come help you out to test out the gifts I received."
Violette smiled and embraced her cousin.

Out in deep space, a figure flies like the wind, a green and red aura spreading out like a cape as she travels.
"Cousin come home, danger is coming and we need your help!"
That is all the message had said and she had instantly left Sunstar, a planet she'd been training on, to return to her kingdom and her sister, Makoto. Of course, she'd sent a message back, but if the trouble was serious, it may not have gone through.
As she flew closer to Xanthia and it's moon, she was surprised to see the moon gone, and only Xanthia, enveloped in darkness. She slowed as she passed the lone planet and then shot forward again. She had a bad feeling.

"They're pulling back!" shouted Titan in joy.
"Don't cheer to much!" called Oberon. "For all we know, it could be a temporary retreat to regroup."
A look of determination came over Titan's face and Nereid looked at her in worry.
"We're going after them," she said determinedly. "We can't allow them to regroup."
"What of your men," said Nereid.
"They are tired and may not be able to make this journey," said Michiru, who had also been made a Sailor Scout with Haruka.
Titan looked at Sailor Neptune and Sailor Nereid, a thoughtful expression on her face. She nodded and both smiled.
"You are young, but not so that you don't heed you're friends," said Neptune.
Titan blushed slightly and turned her attention to the retreating armies.

The blue haired girl continued her flight and passed Pluto and it's moon Charon.
"Oh my." murmured Gallilean as she flew over the destroyed Infinity Fortress. "I pray this is not the case at home."
Gallilean sped faster, becoming more of a green and red blurr as she went.

"My Queen, our scouts have discovered an anomaly flying towards the inner planets," said a Lieutenant appearing before Queen Beryl.
"Pursue, and find out what it is. If a comet, leave it be," said Beryl.
"And if it's something else?"
"Catch it and bring it here."
The lieutenant bowed and then vanished. Immediately, Beryl returned to her manicurist....

"Princess Makoto," greeted Saturnial looking at her image on the planet call.
"King Saturnial," greeted Makoto looking grave. "A week ago I sent a message to my cousin, Dera about our situation on Sunstar. She should be returning, but I fear she may have trouble."
"Don't worry, we'll keep our eyes out for her." said Janus appearing next her uncle.
The Uncle smiled at her and then looked at Makoto, "How is your father handling this?"
Both Janus and Saturnial were surprised as Makoto broke out into tears.
"Princess?" asked someone in the background.
A few moments passed and Makoto was escorted away and a general appeared.
"I am sorry King Saturnial. King Juno and his wife, Queen Euro, were assassinated two days ago. The Princess has not quite recovered from the shock."
"I thank-you Ken." said Saturnial to the adopted son of King Juno.
Ken looked back behind him at the sobbing girl and worry was clearly on his face. Janus watched this, and realized that he must love her.
"So you are now ruler on Jupiter?" asked Saturnial.
Ken turned back and nodded, "I am temporarily. They are waiting for the main member of the moon kingdoms here to decide."
"Lady Dera of the four Gallilean moons." said Saturnial and nodded. "So she plays a large role in this."
"Yes," said Ken. "Luckily, Princess Makoto sent for her at Sunstar where she was training."
"Tell me, " said Saturnial. "Will you still be marrying Makoto when this is over?"
"Yes," said Ken. "I promised her parents that I would, and I will keep that promise."
Saturnial nodded, and smiled, "Janus will you leave the room, I have something to talk to Prince Ken about."
Janus nodded obediently and left the room.

Gallilean felt a more growing horror as she passed Neptune. Passing Pluto, she had only seen the ruins of the fortress, but Neptune, a planet who's water's were the clearest, and it's people considered to me the most graceful, she saw a sicken sight. Bodies lay strewn around, the water was now either gone or contaminated.
She had to close her eyes to lock out the gruesome sight. Soon she was nearing Uranus, and she silently prayed that the planet had not encountered the same fate. As she drew neared, something behind her caught her eye. She slowed slightly and turned her head to see a group of people following.
"Now who..." she started but cut herself off as a large blast was fitted.
Immediately she veered downwards and the shot passed over her.
"If those guys are the ones responsible for Xenda, Pluto, and Neptune, they'll pay," she said through clenched teeth.

"My queen, here are the images of the cause of the anomaly" said the Lieutenant coming forward.
Queen Beryl watched as images of a blue haired scout, glowing with a mixture of green and red aura flew through space.
"Obviously she is going to assist the other Guardians. Stop her and kill her," said Beryl.
A figure appeared before the queen and kneeled.
"Amyste, you don't need to bow!" exclaimed Beryl with a wide smile as her sister appeared.
Amyste smiled at Beryl as she stood again, "I came to ask if I might go after this scout. It seems only right that one of us kill her."
Beryl nodded in approval, "Yes, but be careful."
Amyste bowed and before stepping awe spoke, "Oh, and about Sailor Oberon."
"What about her?" asked Beryl, just the name causing her great disgust.
"I think that perhaps those other scouts did something to her," said Amyste. "When we fought, she seemed to hesitate. She never did that before. I think that if we could correct what they did to her, she would return."
Beryl looked genuinely thoughtful and then smiled at her sister, "I promise to look into it."
"Thanks," said Amyste, glad that her friend would have a possible second chance.
Amyste disappeared and the Lieutenant looked at the Queen.
"Take your men to Saturn and monitor them," she commanded after some silence.
The lieutenant nodded, bowed and disappeared, leaving Beryl alone to ponder.

"I have been called to the planet Athena," said Charon coming into Nereid's room.
"Why?" asked Nereid in surprise.
"I am going to find the scouts of the planet and it's moon, Apollo," answered Charon. "If the other planet's have Guardians and Scouts, I am sure that Athena has one or two as well."
"Then I'll come with you," said Nereid in determination.
"You should stay and help the others defend this planet," said Charon looking Nereid in the face.
"Don't worry," said Nereid. "There are enough scouts here to hold back an attack. Right now, we'll need to go to Athena and find her scouts."
Charon sighed almost inaudibly, "All right."

"Charon and Nereid are gone to Athena," said Oberon to her cousin.
Uranus nodded, "I saw them and wished them luck. Athena is the outer, inner planet. It's not very large, and will need help."
Neptune walked over and placed an arm on Uranus's shoulder, "Ready for that walk?"
Uranus grinned and extended his arm in a crook for Neptune. She slipped her arm through Uranus's and they walked off. Oberon chuckled and looked out into the sky, darkened by dust raised in the fights and dark clouds, threatening a large storm.
"Violette-chan!" shouted Janus running up.
Oberon smiled as the younger girl ran up, "What is it that you need my puppy?"
Janus almost laughed, but grew grave again, "My father's radar has detected Lady Dera nearing Uranus."
"But that's wonderful!" said Oberon, "She should get her safely."
"No," said Janus shaking her head. "A force of dark energy has been detected flying towards her at a greater speed."
Oberon grew grave, "This isn't good. Someone needs to go warn her."
Suddenly alarms began to blare and both girls grew alarmed and took off running for the walls.

"Uranus too," murmured Gallilean in horror as she traveled.
She traveled a little fast every second, and was so busy thinking about what could have caused the destruction when something hit her from behind. Gallilean spun into Uranus's atmosphere, and then pulled out of it and back into space. Looking about, she immediately saw Amyste.
"Who are you?" she demanded.
The Supreme General smiled evilly, "I am Amyste, sister of Queen Beryl of the Negaverse. And you are dead."
Before Gallilean could say anything, Amyste fired dark energy at Gallilean.
Gallilean was hit and spun into Uranus's atmosphere again, and continued falling for over five minutes. She caught herself and was about to go back up when another shot sent her falling again.
This time she hit the ground with a small explosion that left a large crater. Amyste landed with a smirk and watched the dust settle. Gallilean, groaned and sat up painfully, wiping blood away from her face.
"Impressive," said Amyste. "That would have killed anyone else."
"I've been working out," said Gallilean hautily.
She stood up, her legs causing her no loss of pain. She glared at Amyste, understanding now that it was the Negaverse responsible for the ruined planets.
"I am Sailor Gallilean of the four greatest moons of Jupiter. You and your people have killed, plundered, and destroyed the homes of trillions. I can't forgive what you've done." she said, her anger rising.
"Oh, spare me the speeches," said Amyste with a wave of her hand. "I just came here to kill you, not have a lesson in morals."
"Io, Cinder!" shouted Gallilean.
Immediately she began to spin, and dust, ash, and clouds gathered about her body.
"Confusion!" she shouted in finish.
The clouds, ash, and dust was shot away from her body and Amyste was engulfed in darkness.
"Don't think this will save you Guardian!" shouted Amyste.
There was no reply and she raised her arms. Energy shot from her hands, and she pushed the darkness away. Once gone, she found that Gallilean was gone. She walked over to where she had been and saw a trail of blood headed away.
She smiled ferally and began to follow the trail.

"An attack!" called out a gaurd as Oberon and Titan climed up to the top of the wall.
"How far away are they?" asked Titan.
"Just a mile off. Your father and Uncle are out there now." said the man.
"Dad!" exclaimed Titan her face breaking into a smile.

Uranus and Neptune fought back to back, hemmed in by the larger number of Youma.
"Hold on, Michi!" said Uranus, after throwing a 'World Shaking' attack. "The others should get here soon."
Neptune sifted a gasp of pain as she was struck, and sent a 'deep submerge' attack. "I am trying."
After a few moments Uranus was stuck but a spear in the side. She yelled out in pain and Neptune risked a glance at her to see what had happened. But as she did, was also struck, but with a sword in her chest.
She fell to her knees.
"Haruka... I don't want to die without you." said Michiru, sounding scared.
"I will be with you," said Haruka in a husky voice.

Oberon fought through the Youma fiercely, her face showing her worry. She recognized her cousin's yell. She kept moving forward till she saw Uranus and Neptune standing back to back.
"NO!" she screamed as she saw both wounded.
She moved forward more frantically and watched in horror as two Youma dealt the fatal blows.
"Magic, Sphere, Enlightenment!" screamed Oberon, feed the energy of her anger, hate, and sorrow into her attack.
The ball of energy grew to it's largest size ever and she shot it. There was a tremendous explosion and all the Youma were gone in her sector. She ran to the downed scout's sides and carefully lifted both of their heads onto her lap.
"Don't go," she whispered.
Haruka's eyes fluttered open and looked at her with fondness, "I will see you again, I hope."
"And I." said Michiru, painfully placing her hand on Oberon's chest.
"Michi...." moaned Haruka, extending her hand to her friend.
"Har..." whispered Michiru, extending her own towards her friend.
Violette's tears fell unashamedly and she joined the two hands.
"I love you both," said Violette.
For a moment both of the two older girls looked at Violette, smiling sadly, and then looked at eachother.
"May we meet again," said Haruka.
Michiru sighed and suddenly both stopped breathing.
"No!" screamed Violette.

"Father!" shouted Titan as she moved through the Youma, killing them left and right.
"Janus?" asked a tall man with dust brown hair.
Lord Renlo smiled as his daughter ran forward to guard his flank.
"Father, the dreams came true!" exclaimed Titan.
Renlo chuckled, despite the situation around them, "So my brother told me. I am very proud of you."
"Oh dad..." started Titan, but was cut off as her father yelled out.
"Dad!" exclaimed Titan turning around.
The Youma backed away, surprised at which the fallen man had yelled. Lord Renlo smiled sadly into his daughter's face.
"My little lark," he murmured. "You have made me very proud."
"Father," whimpered Titan, her eyes watering. "Don't go."
"I'm sorry," said Renlo. "I must. Defend our home Janus. Help you cousin and Uncle."
"I will," said Titan crying freely now.
Renlo smiled and wiped a small tear off of her face, and then went limp.
"NO!" screamed Sailor Titan at the top her voice.
The Youma moved back in fear as she stood up, her eyes filled with fury.
"In the name of Titan, my father, and Saturn, I will destroy you all!" she screamed.
The Youma turned and began to run off and Titan clapped her hands together.
"Titan!" she shouted with the strength within her, "Dark!"
A glowing ball of energy appeared as she opened her hands and held them before her. Energy from her anger and sorrow was placed into her attack as she watched the Youma flee.

"Extermination!" she finished and launched the ball at the Youma.
The group screamed out as darkness covered them and then each was disintegrated.

"She's strong." murmered Gallilean as she made her way into a ruined stadium her footsteps making a slight echo.
She paused and glanced behind her, listening to the sound of the wind.
'It may be silent out there, but she'd following.'
A few moments later Gallilean made her way over to the center of the stadium where a small pool of water was. Seeing it somewhat clean, she scooped out a handful of water and let it fall over the large gash on her thigh. She winced as it stung and then tore the bow off her fuku and wrabbed it around the wound.
Suddenly a blast whistled by her head and she looked back to see Amyste standing, looking disgusted at the miss. She realized she had to fight, despite her weakened state, or she'd die. Slowly, and painfully she stood up and looked at Amyste, who was smiling at her wickedly.
"Europa!" she said in barely a whisper as sher aised her fist up into the air, unable to yell out her attack.
Amyste's eyes watched in surprise as the fist glowed with a green aura, a flawless green that swirled about her fists in swirled patterns. Gallilean suddenly crouched down to the ground, her fists smashing into the ground and whispered "Energy," but that was unheard to Amyste's ears.
Amyste watched the glowing green energy leave Gallilean's hands and assumed that she was to weak to attack and a smirk came over her face. What she didn't notice was the green energy traveling under the ground towards her. Suddenly her feet began to feel fuzzy and she looked down to see a ring of green light around her.
Her face went totally white and Gallilean winked at her as the ground grew bringhter and brighter around Amyste.
"Eruption!" shouted Gallilean, gathering all of her remaining strength.
Amyste screamed out as the green energy surged up around her and ore her apart, killing the sister of Queen Beryl. Gallilean layed herself onto the ground as the remains of her attack faded away, shimming in the light of the moons.
Then she blinked at the site of a small child standing where Amyste had been standing with short red hair.
"Mommy?" asked the child aproaching Gallilean.
Gallilean looked at the girl as she approached. Other than the red hair, she looked like a younger Amyste, the eyes were identical. She pushed herself up and both stared at eachother a moment before the girl lunged forward and embraced her, crying helplessly.
Gallilean hugged the child tightly, feeling a sense of love for this younger Amyste and quietly made soothing sounds to her.

Next Time on Sailor Moon G
"It's was destined to happen." said Sailor Saturn, her dark hair blowing about her face.
"But why?" asked Sailor Titan, her voice full of sorrow.
"You're head is mine Gallilean." said a man with dark hair and eyes.
"Not if I get to her first!" exclaimed Oberon.
