The Story of a Psychiatrist, who isn't really a psychiatrist.
Dr. Mumford comes to the town of Mumford, and sets up a Psychiatric practice, which garners attention. Among those people he helps, are a twenty-odd year old software developer with his own company, and about a bazillion dollars; a lady who doesn't sleep very well, and has trouble keeping her energy level up; and a fat guy with a self esteem problem.
As he works with these people, the other psychiatrist in the town, and a psychologist in the same town begin to get suspicious, and examine his past.
At the same time, Dr. Mumford is busy falling in love with his female patient, and working out the software moguls problems.
This was a funny movie, with nice quirky little twists and turns, and some good spots to it.
The software mogul has a desire to create an android woman who will do anything for a man (like himself) and there are several robotic creations of his that gyrate in interestign ways. The Fat guy seems to have an obsession with sex, and Mumford finds the solution to his problem is to get him books-o-porn, but other then that, there was nothing objectional with this movie.
I give it Three Field Mice.
And, as always, Ebert can have the Balcony, the Sneak Previews guys can have the Aisle seats. I want the exact middle!
