Okay, this is my page of parodies, and on it, we have, predictably, parodies of songs that I have written. I think these songs are pretty good, rather original, and all that...
Anyway, Right Now, there are only four or five up here, but let's discuss those.
The First one is a parody of "Fly" by Sugar Ray. When I lived in Cali, me and one of my friends (the same guy who first introduced me to HTML code) would go see a lot of movies. On one of these frequent trips, We heard the song Fly on the radio. Just for fun, i sang along with...
At anyrate, I present to you, Fry
The Second song I have Parodied is another song thatcame out about the same time, but through quite a different source. NeXTStep told me at church that his sister had come up with a parody of ChumbaWamba's TubThumpin. it went something like what I have behind this link, but she didn't have it all worked out. I sat down and worked out the rest of it, and here it is, TubVoidin' by Mike Cuellar and Melina Phears.
The third song is one that I guess alot of people have thought of, but never sat down and wrote it out.... so, I did. Anyway, Puff Daddy wrote this song in remembrance of all the famous people who died (Princess Diana, Notorius B.I.G., etc etc). It's called I'll Be Missin' You, and the song is, in itself, a kind of parody of I'll be Watching You, by the Police. Anyway, I parodied the parody, and the title remained the same. However, the dignity this song had, doesn't exist in this new copy. Which I guess shows the sick sort of mentality I can have at those special times. Anyway, this version is called I'll Be Missing You
The Fourth song, is a serious parody (if there is such a thing- if not- forgive me). It's about the five of the seven most impotant ladies in my life (outside of family). These are all ladies who in a different time, alternate reality, might have been my girlfriend, but circumstances forced it to be different. Anyway, 4 of these ladies, I knew in real life, and 1 I have never met. All of them, are the most important ladies in my life, and though I have lost track of one of them (and haven't seen her in almost 12 years), and one of them wants nothing to do with me, I still love them all.
I present to you Untitled a parody of Alanis Morisette's Unsent.
The Fifth Parody, If i can manage to find the Lyrics that i wrote down (i fear i may have thrown them out accidentally during one of my infrequent car cleanings), is one based on one of the greatest Operatic achievements ever, The Phantom of the Opera.
Please don't get me wrong, I love the Phantom of the Opera. I have seen it three times, and I loved every moment of it, but this Idea popped into my head, and I simply had to act on it.
So, as we all know, possibly the biggest song from the Phantom of the Opera is The Music of the Night. Either that or All I Ask of You, depending on which one you like more- I think they're more or less equal. But the point is, I parodied Music of the Night.
It's now about Vampires. *Grins Wolfishly*
Sixthly, is a parody of Will Smith's Wild Wild West. Again, this is connected to the Internet community I visit, Dragonmount. It's about a Warder named Lone Wolf, and it is called Warder Warder Wolf.
Seventhly, there is a parody of Edgar Allen Poe's Immortal Classic, The Raven. This one is also Wheel of Time related, and it's called, The Darkfriend.
Another parody I hope to do is one based on Salt-n-Pepa's Lets Talk about Sex. I'm going to make that one about Breakfast cereal.
I also have ideas for Parodies for Closing Time (Semisonic), Ironic (Alanis Morisette), Adia (Sarah McLachlan), Falling into You (Celine Dion), and Graduate (Third Eye Blind).
