A Fairy Tale
Once upon a time, there were two kingdoms. One was the Kingdom of the Burgers, and the other was the Kingdom of the Waffles. The two kings of their respective kingdoms hated each other, for they were both vying for the love of the same woman- The Queen of the Dairy's.
The Burger King wanted the Dairy Queen to be his so she could make Milk shakes for him, and the Waffle King wanted her so she could make enough Butter for all his Waffles.
One day, the Burger King was at a loss for his next move to win the Dairy Queen to his cause. He called over the Royal Advisor, Arbrister.
"Arbrister, I need some help. What should I do to win the fair Lady Dairy?" Arbrister sighed.
"Well, sir, first of all, as I have told you many times before, please Call me Arby. Secondly, Have you exhausted all possible routes of peacable means?"
"I believe so. Here's a list of what I've done." He handed Arby the list, and Arby looked it over.
"Yes, this looks very extensive. Well, I believe the only course of action left is war, sir. But I would remind you of the devestating effects of war, and the effects it can have on a population. Please consider it carefully before you decide."
The Burger King raised his eyebrows thoughtfully, and after a moments hesitation said, "Lets wipe that guy out."
Arby bowed. "As you wish, sir."
The king walked over to his lookout tower, and rang the Taco Bell, summoning the army from the Knights Inn to the Castle. They came, and stood in formation.
"Men," the Burger King began, "Today, there is a great task set in front of us. The Dairy Queen, Dixie, will choose a side today. Do you want her to side wth you?"
The men let out a great loud Huzzah!
"Furthermore, do you want that scoundrel, The Waffle King to win her and serve his Kingdom?"
The men let out a great loud Nozzuh!
"Then let's go out there, and fight the Waffle King, and Win Dixie!"
"The men cheered as loud as they could, and the noise was like a roar of the ocean. They banged their swords against their shields, and stomped their feet.
The army of the Burger Kingdom led by Colonel Sanders began its march on the Waffle Kingdom.
At the same time, the Waffle King, sitting in his Waffle House, was wondering what his next move should be to win Dixie the Dairy Queen. He had exhausted his options, and so called in his Royal Advisor McDonald.
"McDonald, I need some help. What should I do to win the fair Lady Dairy?" McDonald sighed.
"Well, sir, Have you exhausted all possible routes of peacable means?"
"I believe so. Here's a list of what I've done." He handed McDonald the list, and McDonald looked it over.
"Yes, this looks very extensive. Well, I believe the only course of action left is war, sir. But I would remind you of the devestating effects of war, and the effects it can have on a population. Please consider it carefully before you decide."
The Waffle King raised his eyebrows thoughtfully, and after a moments hesitation said, "Lets wipe that guy out."
McDonald bowed. "As you wish, sir."
The king walked over to his lookout tower, and rang the Taco Bell (another invention that was cause for strife between him and the Burger King- The Burger King had stolen it from him), summoning the army from the Knights Inn to the Castle. They came, and stood in formation.
"Men," the Waffle King began, "Today, there is a great task set in front of us. The Dairy Queen, Dixie, will choose a side today. Do you want her to side wth you?"
The men let out a great loud Huzzah!
"Furthermore, do you want that scoundrel, The Burger King to win her and serve his Kingdom?"
The men let out a great loud Nozzuh!
"We need her here so she can serve all our various public communities, right?"
The men let out a great loud Huzzah!
"Then let's go out there, and Fight for the Dairy Queen and Defend our Publics!"
"The men cheered as loud as they could, and the noise was like a roar of the ocean. They banged their swords against their shields, and stomped their feet.
The army of the Waffle Kingdom led by Captain D began its march on the Burger Kingdom.
In another part of the Kingdom, the Dairy Queen, Dixie, was looking at pictures of the two kings. For so long she had loved and served them both. Why couldn't things be that way forever? All she wantred was peace between the two kingdoms. How was she supposed to choose? She looked at her handmaiden, Wendy, and sighed.
Wendy had no reply.
She sighed again, and then came up with her solution.
She walked out of her house and began to walk toward the Waffle Kingdom to inform them of her decision.
The Army of the Burger King led by Colonel Sanders, had camped for the night on the side of a small rise, and the Colonel was enjoying his dinner of Steak and Ale wth his second in command, a man with the unlikely name of Popeye.
At the same time, the army of the Waffle King, led By Captain D, was marching up the side of the small rise. The tramp and tromp of their footfalls caused vibrations to flow through the ground for miles around.
In the camp of the Burger King, Colonel Sanders was watching his steak. it was bouncing around his plate as the tent, and the table, and the plate vibrated from some weird kind of tremors.
Popeye picked up on the vibrations a few minutes later. "Whoa! What's that?"
Colonel Sanders looked at the Steak. "I don't know. It.. It's a Shakin' steak..."
"No no no, not that, though that is interesting... I mean the vibration... Whats causing it?"
"That... I don't know. Why don't you go do some scouting?"
"Alright."
Popeye left.
He walked up the hill, and as he crested it, looked down at the army assembled there, and grew scared. he turned, and ran down the hill, through the camp, and out the other side.
One of the Soldier's watched him run. He nudged his buddy. "All this time serving with him, and we never knew. Popeye's Chicken." His buddy shrugged.
The Waffle Army stopped short of the crest of the hill, and camped. Later that night, a messenger came to Captain D, and told him that there was someone here to see him.
He admitted the messenger, and in stepped Queen Dixie of the Dairy's.
She stepped curtly up to Captain D. "Tell your king that I have chosen who I wish to go with, and it is neither of you. I will live out my life in solitude, serving nether of you."
Captain D shrugged. It was all the same to him.
Queen Dixie left, and the next morning, Captain D brought his army back to the Kingdom of Waffles and told the king all that had happened.
After leaving Captain D, the Dairy Queen started her trek to the Kingdom of Burgers. She crested the hill, and saw the Army of Burgers. she walked to the main tent and was admitted.
"Tell your king that I have chosen who I wish to go with, and it is neither of you. I will live out my life in solitude, serving nether of you."
Colonel Sanders shrugged. It was all the same to him.
Queen Dixie left, and the next morning, Colonel Sanders brought his army back to the Kingdom of Burgers and told the king all that had happened.
And they all lived happily ever after. (or almost).
