Okay, allow me to set up the stage here for ya. the Chosen Twelve are:
Kime L'Cleaur is the hero of the story. He is a normal guy from earth, taken to the Kingdom of Rahl, to fight and defeat Nirab Brn'mauc.
Arula Ramie is the Lost Princess, and sole heir to the throne of Rahl. She is the Heroine of the story, and the Leader of the Resistance.
Nyln Velstar is a half Elf half Faerie Chanter. A chanter is sort of like a Wizard, only with more magic. Nyln is Arula's handpicked bodyguard/confidante/best friend.
Rej Sroth is the RiftTraveler. T'was he who traveled to Earth and brought Kime to the kingdom of Rahl.
Quester Lockleaf is the Elven Captain of the Guard Elite, the sworn protectors of the Royalty. When the Shadow Master attacked the castle, they failed in their task to protect the King and Queen, and therefore now fight for, and protect the princess. The Guard Elite is made up of Elves. His weapon of choice is the Sword.
Connell Nighthawk is the Second-in-Command o the Guard Elite. He is the most outgoing of the Guard, and it was he who befriended Kime when Kime was first brought to the House (the headquarters of the Resistance). His weapon of choice is the Sword.
Elflane Mellorn is another member of the Guard Elite. His weapon of choice is Bow and Arrows.
Elene Brightstar is also another member of the Guard Elite. Her and Elflane are lovers. Her weapon of choice is Bow and Arrows.
Ravyn Woodwalker is another member of the Guard Elite and a Pathfinder. That means he is well versed in Forest survival, and can move very silently (even for an Elf). His weapon of choice is Daggers.
Striker WIngtip is the all around man of the Guard Elite. He can pretty much do it all, and do it successfully. His weapon of choice is also the dagger.
Ridan is a Dwarf, and a champion fighter.
Nat (pronounced Nate) is a court jester. He was rescued from the dungeon of the tyrant Tyram Sorsc, in the Prite Territory. He is called Nat, because his true name is Nathanoj Erevyl.
In this scene, they have reached the lost city of Rivulet (pronounced Rivulay) and are going to talk to the Oracle that resides there, to learn as much as they can about fighting the Dark One, before they actually have to.
They Approach the Oracle, and then....
