Last year, Stephen King wrote a story, and it was called Bag of Bones. It was a very well written story (as all of his are) and it was about a man who lost his wife, only to have his wife return in ghost form at their house on Dark Score Lake.

The wife is their to help the man fight off another evil spirit who wants to destroy an innocent child.

The story, on the back, was billed as "A Haunted Love Story."

The Haunting, though based on Shirley JacksonŐs book, The Haunting of Hill House is also a Haunted Love Story, where the book was not. Yes, the book and the movie take place in the same house, and have the same characters, and some of the same strange things occur, but that's about it.

The Haunted Love in Bag of Bones was the love between a man and his late wife, his new girlfriend, and his gf's daughter. The love in The HauntingIs the love between a mother and her children.

Dr. Marrow (played by Liam Neeson, also known as Qui-Gon Jinn, from The Phantom Menace), who is running an experiment on the dynamics of fear, lures five others to the house on the pretense of an insomnia study.

They find out about the history of the house, and then the weirdness starts. Banging, sudden drops of temperature, and weird voices are only the beginning. it escalates into writing on the wall, bloody footproints leading to a secret passageway, and a family secret, that won't stay secret.

Eleanor learns the secret of Hill House, and the secret of her own family at the same time, and in the climax, showdowns against a malevolent spirit bent on destroying her.

This was an excellent, excellent movie, filled with suspense, and creepiness in just the right amounts. There are parts that scare you, and parts that make you laugh. I give this movie a rating of 4 3/4 Field Mice.

Everyone should go see it. Except for little kids, unless they really demand to see it. The movie got it's PG-13 Rating for the intensity of the action.

There was no cursing, no sex, and only a few references to one of the Characters being bi-sexual.

As a morality Rating, I give it 4 Field Mice.

This is one of the best movies I have seen in a long time. In fact, it is so good, that this is one time you could say that the movie, is better then the book.
