Sting is a mysterious figure that looms large in the WCW. His popularity amongst his fans is legendary and his wrestling techniques have garnered him many accolades and awards.

An eight time World Heavyweight Champion in the WCW, Sting has been a large factor in the mix of the WCW for many years and continues to be a fan favorite. Sting took time out of his busy schedule to talk with us and give something back to his loyal fans. Sit back and enjoy the interview with one of wrestling's perennial icons as he shares his insight into wrestling and celebrity.

What's the best wrestling match you've been in? (Interviewer)

STING: Starrcade '97 vs. Hogan because it was one of most highly anticipated match-ups and a fan favorite.

What's the worst injury you suffered in wrestling? (Interviewer)

STING: In 1990 I injured my left patella tendon in my knee at Clash of the Champions in Corpus Christi, TX.

How is your wrestling image different from your real personality? (Interviewer)

STING: Complete 180! I don't go to church or walk through the airport with my face painted!

If an injury forced you to stop wrestling, what would you want to do for a living? (Interviewer)

STING: Act in movies.

Where are you from originally? (Interviewer)

STING: Born in Omaha, NE, but raised in California.

Who were your biggest influences growing up and who are your heroes now (in life, in wrestling, in entertainment, etc.)? (Interviewer)

STING: When I was young, people in my family, especially my cousin who played football. Growing up and older, Arnold Schwarzenegger

How did you get your start in wrestling? (Interviewer)

STING: I went to wrestling camp in California in 1985. From there on I started in Nashville, TN.

Since you've become a celebrity, have you had a chance to meet any of those influences/heroes? (Interviewer)

STING: I never actually met Arnold, but came pretty close at the Grand Opening of Planet Hollywood. I was about to go up to him but someone cut me off and Arnold was swept away.

What do you think makes the WCW superior to the WWF? (Interviewer)

STING: No comment.

If you were offered more money, would you go to the WWF? (Interviewer)

STING: No. I would prefer to act.

What are your goals as a wrestler? (Interviewer)

STING: To stay on top of the game for as long as I can. Keep fans interested in what I'm doing.

What do you think are the reasons why wrestling has become so popular in recent years? (Interviewer)

STING: Live television, Nitro basically put wrestling on the map. Also, the success of the nWo.

What do you say to the critics who say that wrestling is too violent? (Interviewer)

STING: No comment.

What can the WCW do to keep pushing the limits? In other words, what new things can pro wrestling do to keep it new and exciting for the fans? (Interviewer)

STING: Start creating and developing younger talent.
