As we last left our heroes, Gabby was dead. (I am not crying!) Xena decides to go to a burnt up town to find Hades. He tells her that he doesn't know where Gab is and if she wants to see Solan he could arrange it. Why doesn't she except? Hello? Who cares about Gab? Who is the one you haven't seenin a year? The bard can wait. So she says that she is probably in the Amazon Land o' the Dead. She goes off in search of Gab. She leaves argo and rides off like a wild banshee. She rides around a lot and looks high or drunk. Or really tired. She kills a deer and does the infamous "Madonna-Ray-Of-Light-Dance." (My name forit. You check out the video and see for yourself!) She carries the deer to her Crazy Cave. (that is where she lost i, so......) She is making afringe
outfit and thinking about her and our old friend Bory! Why is it in every flash of him he is "doing" something to her. They are "having dinner." They
talk and he says "I love ju". She doesn't and their stupid guard comes in. You know they need to get some better guards cause in all the times we see Bory, some guard is interrupting something. Alti the evil shamanesse and Anokin walk in. Alti reveals Xena's dreaded secret. She is "withchild," or
preggers as I call it. Bory is all shocked, yeah like he expected to be single forever. Anokin smokes opium too cause she is trippin. We flash forward to Xena and she is doin the Ray of Light-dance. She rides off to find Gab. What does she end up finding? A dead Amazon and some thugs from The Road Warrior. She beats them up to burn the Amazon. She recalls some
memories about Gab, and some stupid Amazon says she knows Xena. She recalls when her village was being burnt to the ground by Boris and Natasha. (OK so
its Xena and Bory) Anokin dies and Xena is pretty sad. Bory doesnt understand girl relationships. Maybe if he had some drinking buds, he would be happy, too. Xena sees this Amazon girl and flips. She tries to kill her but Bory steps in as surrogate daddy and saves her. You can tell as he rides off that Xena can see he is getting "soft." Alti tells Xena that she can see Anokin again. We flash forward to Xena killing her horse and drinking the blood. No wonder she left Argo. She does an extreme version that the
censors don't like, of the "Ray of Light-Dance." She falls down to the tune of some old Bulgarian Amazons singing. Her soul jumps out of her body and she goes to the Land of the Dead. She sees the girl she burned there and talks about how she has been there before. She recalls how Alti went with her to the Land of the Dead to see Anokin. (Maybe Bory is right, what spell have they thrown on you?) Anokin goes away and
Bory wakes Xena up by smacking her around. Oh, please! She is with child and you dare to smack her?
He does have a reason though. If your lover wasn't breathing and unconscious you would smack them awake, too. I'd be flipping out, but that's just me.
He kicks Alti awake and goes back to Xena. He seems to be worried about their "child." She actually looks like she cares and is worried too. But, you know how mood swings are. "He loves you! Duh!" That was just me screaming it for the 20th time so far. Alti says that he will have his father's mouth and his mom's eyes, but neither of them will name him. Bory throws her out. Xena gets mad, and she gets defensive. The only joke in this episode: "I swear if you use the word 'family' I'm gonna puke!" She and Alti talk about her powers and Alti says she can make Xena:"Destroyer of Nations". We flash forward to the dead Amazon and Xena seeing Cyane, queen of the Amazons. Cyane was killed by Xena. Cyane is mad at her. We flash to
Otere and her friends (the amazon gal) who is talking about Xena while they move her to a safe cave. She recalls when Alti wanted Xena to kill her. Xena hesitated then Bory came in all mad. Xena looks like she hasn't had a lot of sleep or she is on opium again. She flashes back to the present. Meanwhile, Xena is talking to Cyane about how Alti trapped them and Xena just wants to get Gabrielle. Cyane tells her where to go. So Xena goes. She stops and chats with the wind and says "I love you." She wakes to fight
Alti. Apparently she is more important than Alti. She wakes to a bunch of cave Amazons. Otere talks and she lets a captive go and she goes to fight the Berserker who is a big enemy. They track and find him. Alti knows Xena is comming. (she has ESP) they all fight some goons and Xena has a run in with the Berserker. He shows her her past to kill her. She finally defeats him and she finds Alti's soul in the horse. She says Alti is a "toughie'" and there is a "to be continued" sign. So is this review...........
