911 Center is completed. The 911 Center is built to handle the highest level of tornadoes and hurricanes and is furnished with the newest state-of-the-art radio consoles.
On the inside, the Center is spacious enough for three operators and a supervisor. Also included are a supervisor’s office and a small kitchen for those long 12 hour shifts in which a meal can be prepared.
Work hours are divided into two shifts – Days and Mids. Beginning at 0700 - 1900 for days and 1900 - 0700 for mids. The workweek is divided into a four on, three off, every other week.
