Coleccion Primitivos

Welcome to Coleccion Primitivos, my own private collection of handmade jewellery, crafted for friends and family. I like to post my work on my site and share the joy of having completed a piece of innovative beadwork. I hope you like them just as much as I enjoyed making them. I call them Coleccion Primitivos because they are 'primitive' in spirit, crafted from a passion from the heart, using materials meaningful and sentimental, and stones that bring the wearer good energies and clear vibes to help them lead a serene, peaceful existence.

Ice, Ice Baby

It's a Kind of Magic

From the Queen song, It's a Kind of Magic...Labradorite chips provide the magic to this choker of sugared confectionery, with pink quartz to promote love and peace, aquamarine to enhance the fifth chakra of communication and the immune system, and amethyst for calm and serenity. Labradorite is known also as the magic stone or Merlin's stone. It promotes sharpness and acuity of the mind, strengthens intelligence and the will. With focus and visualization, one can achieve magic!

Ice Ice Baby is my collection of crude, unpolished rock crystal with raw energies from aquamarine, amethyst, rose quartz. They look like frosted ice crystals in their pastel shades.

Le Fantasme

Few stones tweak the imagination as labradorite does. First, because of its unusual labradorescence - colours that reflect with the angle of light, from its base of silver grey to pink, yellow, gold, green and so on. It’s called also Merlin’s stone and is said to have the power to unleash magic. Labradorite pendant and chips are teamed up with calming rhodonite hearts that reflect grace and love.

The Phantom & the Self All crystals, tis said, have the power to strengthen the inner being and ‘clusters’ (the phantoms in the crystal) work to clear negative energies. For me, phantom quartz (pendant) is a healing tool that helps us get in touch with past fears and angers in order to grow unrestrictedly. Ruby zoisites are my fave stone as rubies are a Cancer birthstone. Zoisite amplifies energy and stimulates all the good vibes necessary for my well-being!

Jazz Razz is a razzmatazz of aquamarine, rose quartz and amethyst combined with pink quartz and turquoise. Amazonite drops harmonize the heart and throat chakra to remove blockages and promote emotional bonding.

Candy Cool: Like chunks of sugared confectionery, pink quartz rocks enhance love and unity, while aquamarine enhances the fifth chakra of communications and strengthens the immune system.

Cerulean Confection: A refreshing cacophony of azure, lazuline, cerulean, turquoise and sapphire blues, with a cherry twist in the form of a cherry quartz leaf! A bracelet of blue topaz leaves and bamboo turquoise for a cool, refreshing, sea-breeze feeling.

Ice, Baby, Ice: Cool candy pinks and minty green blocks of sugared candy! It's got character and pizzazz....irregular and jaunty at the same time. This is the first of a collection I am calling Ice Baby Ice! For those is search of originality, uniqueness and just downright COOL! Design by Gina

Phantom of the Opera: Phantom quartz slabs are cobined with yellow adventurine, African amber and lasered aquamarine nuggets in this dramatic, operatic necklace.

Betty Blue: Blue & white china shard pendant is set off by sodalite and opalised quartz cabochons, and a 'twist of fate' light blue Swarovski crystals. Blue & white porcelain beads and silver spacers add more surprises, along with two lace agate beads framig the shard pendant.

Blue Nights: Sultry blue aquamarine pendant is suspended from a necklace of blue qyartz stones and lasered aquamarine nuggets with matching dangling earrings.

Blue Moon: a blue moon is when two full moons happen in a month. The pink lotus quartz beads on either side of the engraved sodalite barrel signify two moons on this dark, night blue necklace of sodalite beads and pink quartz.

Ice Drops: a pair of chunky lasered pink quartz nuggets for that daring, out-there get-up!

Betty's Bliss: Cape Amethyst rose pendant with the turning colours of purple, lavender and green fluorite in a Victorian design necklace. Fluorite enhances health and therefore, brings bliss to the wearer. From Coleccion Primitivos. Design by Gina.

Au Naturel: Natural jade is a blending of grape, salmon and green hues, with a sterling silver clasp. The drop earrings are jade teamed up with cherry quartz leaves.

Greenie Chips: Green garnet chips with Chinese turquoise beads and moss agate leaves set off the rejuvenating green effect of this necklace.

El Sandia: That's Spanish for watermelon--delicate tiny watermelon tourmaline beads interspersed with rutilated quartz leaves.

Jade fusion: This cuff is a fusion of the most subtle light green and the palest yellow jade beads.

Pink Ice: Cuff of pink quartz, the 'love stone', with blue topaz. The pink quartz is in three different styles of beads--chips, flat round and tubes.

Pink & Grape: The deep dark red garnet are like grapes against the delicate pink of rose quartz in this cuff

Ethereal Butterfly: The sharp glitter of Swarovski crystal and jade beads set off the ethereal jade butterfly.

La Mariposa: The butterfly theme carries on -- translucent jade butterfly with a hint of brown, hung on a necklace of apple green aventurine and peachy moonstone beads.

Wong Kam Fai's Lucky Bat: Tibetan coral necklace with moonstone accents, and a Chinese lucky bat pendant.

Choi Delight: Lavender jade "choi" pendant with chalcedony and aventurine beads.

The Pansy Cuff and Lariat: Sunshiny yellow seed-pearl beads, champagne-coloured glass beads and crystal-like peridot green beads are used in this slim cuff and matching lariat named after Pansy.

The Turquoise Cuff: Turquoise bamboo and tube beads interspersed with tiny pearl beads, all materials from Mainland China

Love Dance: Colourful fluorite is said to enhance the properties of the stones next to it. Here, I team it up with facetted pink quartz, the 'love stone'.

Gothic Garnets: Blood-red garnets with silver accents and a Gothic pendant of silver and inlaid garnet. Garnet, a deep red stone, is a grounding stone and gives one a sense of peaceful repose.

Carnelians

Carnelian stones have a positive energy for Cancerians like myself. They are also the stones recommended for journalists and writers. Carnelians and the colour red relate to the base chakra and is essentially a stone for grounding.

Soothing energies from a carnelian and moonstone bracelet and protective vibes from a vintage carnelian scarab

Carnelian bracelet with a jade monkey charm--in Chinese astrology, the Monkey is known for his mischievousness and business savvy

Monkey 2 is also made of carnelian but in a lighter hue than Monkey 1. The Monkeys are of translucent jade.

Pink quartz, graduated, and moonstone beads

The Power Necklace -- jade phoenix pendant hung on a carnelian and jade necklace

Matte carnelian beads frame this filigreed jade pendant.
