Apprentice Cave Trip, Madison & PeacockWell, we finally did it!! Completed our NSS-CDS Apprentice Cave Course after years of waiting! Our instructors were Mark Leonard and Jaime Hempstead. Both of which I recommend highly! My team consisted of John Nelson, James Elliot and myself. We had two dives at Peacock and two at Madison.

BEFORE
The first dive at Peacock was somewhere around 900 ft penetration of the peanut tunnel with Mark Leonard. The Dive: 53' for 55 min. The second dive was somewhere around 1000 ft penetration on the main tunnel with Jaime Hempstead. The Dive: 67' for 55 min. Photo left to right: John, me, James |
AFTER
The first dive of Madison was about 800' penetration of the main line. The Dive: 70' for 35 min. The second dive was a jump from the main line to the Godzilla room - silty as hell! The Dive: 61' for 45 min (incurred 8 min deco) Photo left to right: John, me, James |
