Kings to play in Japanese games The Sacramento Kings very own Rick Adelman and Chris Webber participated in a conference with Japanese press in preparation for the 1999 NBA Japan games in Tokyo, November 6th and 7th. Here are some questions and answers from Adelman and Webber:

Q: Is there anything that you are not happy with during the offseason? Adelman: Yes. I think the one area that I'm not happy with, and it's been something that we've had a problem with, is that we have not defended well. We have not guarded the other team as well as we need to. If you look at our team, we have very good offensive players and they have to learn how to become a better team defensively. If we do that, we can beat anybody. It's an area we are working on in camp and hopefully we'll get better at that before we get over to Japan for the two games.

Q: Could you tell us the five starters that you have in mind? Adelman: Right now, I would start Jason Williams and Nick Anderson at guards, Vlade Divac at center, Chris Webber and probably Corliss Williamson at forwards.

Q: How do you feel about being traded to the Kings and what do you think about your future with the club? Webber: The transition has been great because the fans here have really accepted me and they're really supportive of this team. Just the players on this team have made it great to come and play here with Vlade, Jason, and Corliss. Those guys really made it comfortable for me to come here. So my transition has been a pretty easy one.

Q: What do you think about the addition of Nick Anderson to the team? Webber: Getting Nick Anderson for this team is awesome. I'm just happy...what more can you say? He's been to the Finals and he's going to help us in every way. It would take me three hours to talk about how happy I am with Nick Anderson. I just think we needed a veteran, a player like himself that can shoot and rebound. He's just going to be another steady factor on this team and that's what we need. He's a great guy as well and it's going to be fun playing with him.

Anything else? Webber: Please ask the fans to cheer for the Kings!
