Speed Demon II

I had someone suggest to me a while back that I should write a sequel to Speed Demon. Which is the reason I wrote this. It's not as flairy as the first...but it's a pretty nifty sequel.

" You okay?" Squirrel asked. She sat next to Pietro, who looked rather gloomy.

" I'm fine!" He said, faking a smile. She propped herself on him, " You're a liar."

" Who wears the pants in our relationship?"

" Oh, stop being so silly, Pietro. Oh, and your slip is showing."

He cast her an angry glance. She smiled innocently, " Want a rematch?"

" What?"

" When we first met, we had a race to prove who wa the better of the two of us." She sat next to him and snuggled his arm, " And I won the race."

" Then fine!" He said angrily, " I want another race!"

" Oh, you are such a sore loser." Squirrel laughed, taking Pietro's face in her hand and kissing him, " Fine, spoil sport. We'll race again."

The relationship Pietro and Squirrel had was almost always on edge. They always argued and threw horrible fits at one another...but, on the upside, the arguements usually ended with a neutral drop of the flag and an long intimate moment. The nature of the moment depended on where they were and their mood of course.

***That Evening***

Both agreed to the final race. Pietro swore he would drop the whole matter, win or lose, after this race. He stood next to Squirrel at the start. And both began the aggressive race.

=I'll take it steady= Pietro thought. =And increase speed gradually. I'll last longer.=

In that aspect, he wasn't too surprised when Squirrel was slightly ahead of him. She pulled farther and farther as they went as Pietro gritted his teeth to remain steady.

***Later***

Squirrel noticed Pietro trailing behind. Why was he moving so SLOW? He was up to something. That twisted mind was always up to something. It was a part of him she hated...and yet swooned at his feet for. What was it? The finish was coming. He wasn't going to LET her win, was he? Did he know something she did not? She faced forward...gasped...and slowed down.

" Bingo!" Pietro cried and sped up. He zoomed at great speeds, darting past her, sending her for a spin. He leaped forward and made the finish.

" I DID IT!"

" You beat me, Pietro," Squirrel smiled. She wrapped her arms around him and they locked into a kiss. This was a relationship no one seemed to understand. When she was released she whispered in his ear, " You must have been traveling mighty fast to do that."

" Ha!" He pushed her back to show off, " I was going at LEAST 100 mph. Slow even for ME! Pah, easy pickings."

" THAT fast?"

" Yeah. Why, you gonna give me a ticket? You a state trooper?"

" No, but I am," Came a voice from behind. Pietro turned and saw the trooper behind him. " I clocked you at OVER 100 mph. The speed limit is 65 mph." He handed Pietro the ticket.

" You're giving me a speeding ticket? For running?!"

" Speed limits a speed limit."

Pietro swiped the ticket from the cop and gave Squirrel a glare. It was a good gag, but low. He finally let out a laugh and hugged her. = At least I beat her.=
