I must mention Kirk, Taylor Dosey, and Mrs. Kim, played respectively by
Sean Gunn, Michael Winters, and Emily Kuroda.
Several young stars got their start on The Gilmore Girls: Chad Michael Murray and Jared Padalecki.
The show ran for 7 seasons, 2000 - 2007, and didn't end the way the writers intended, they had written a season ending not a series ending. This left many of us die hard fans really unhappy!
I have all 7 seasons on DVD, but they do show reruns all the time on television too.
However I have great news! I found a web site called "Virtual Gilmore Girls" Where some very talented writers have written 3 more seasons that you can read! You can picture the characters as you read and finally find out what happened with Luke and Lorelai!
The underlying story was the love interest of Lorelai and Luke, (Scott Peterson)
Fans knew this is who she belonged with even though it took forever to get there after several tries.
Gilmore Girls was the first series to make it to air supported by the Family Friendly Forum's script development fund. An initiative between some of the nation's top advertisers and The WB, the program was intended to offer a greater array of compelling family programming on network television. The strong and loving mother-daughter relationship portrayed in Gilmore Girls reflects the growing reality of this new type of American family.
Until next time...see ya around the Hollow!
