First of all let me thank everyone for letting us all stroll into your lives... It has been an honor and a pleasure.
For this special 100th issue let me take you on a stroll to meet all of us gals and find out how this whole thing got started.
Welcome to Taggin' For Fun's Stroll Number
Let's start by strolling to...
Florida and visting with Jacki
I am 65 years old, and married to my high school sweetheart for 47 years. We spent 22 years in the Air Force so we traveled to many exciting places and some not so exciting. We raised two daughters who have both blessed us with grand children. I have four, Travis is 21, Tanner is 16, Hannah is 11 and Olivia is 3. I no longer work outside of the home and I have been enjoying just staying home and doing as much of what I want as I can. I do crocheting and jewelry making when I have some free time and I love to read.
Here is my story on becoming a tagger. I got an email from someone I didn't know and now I don't remember who it was. She had replied all and guess we had a mutual friend. She had a tag at the end of her email and I loved it so asked her about it. She had gotten it from Dee Dee's tag group when Dee Dee lived in Calif. I got the name of the group and wrote to her about getting some tags. They had a member tag contest and I so wanted to learn. That's where I met Patsy. She was on the group as a tagger with Dee Dee. Through phone calls and emails Patsy taught me to tag. I started entering the contests and even won a couple. Then Dee Dee wanted to close the list and for the life of me I cant remember the name of it. (note: It was TagsbyDidi)
Patsy didn't want it to close so she took it over and asked me to become a tagger. I was thrilled to do it but wasn't too good back 12 or 13 years ago. I did it any way and I am so glad I did. In being on her list I have met Betty and a host of others that I still keep in touch with. When Patsy passed it was a sad time for many of us but Betty picked up some of the members and started our group. I am so glad she wanted me to stay with it because it has been a big part of my life and the friends I have made here are forever friends.
NEXT STOP NORTH CAROLINA.
I live in North Carolina. I have been married to Ronnie for 37 years. I got started tagging by joining the group back when it was Tags by Design (at least I THINK that was the name back then) and Dar was sending out tutorials and checking them if you wanted to learn how to tag. I starting doing the tutorials with Dar teaching me how to tag. I have been tagging ever since and I LOVE it.
I have three grown children who all live nearby. I have 3 darling Grandchildren that are the light of my life. I work in a Pediatrician's office, actually the Dr. I work for was my children's Doctor, and now he sees all of my Grandbabies too. Whenever I am not working, I love spending time with my family, reading, and tagging. I LOVE the great group of ladies that I tag with, and treasure all of the friendships that I have made.
STROLLING ON UP TO NEW YORK TO VISIT WITH ME, CANDY.
Hey y'all.... thanks for stopping by!
I am married to Mike and we have a son, Corey, who recently graduated from Saint John's University here in New York.
I am also the only one of us 4 that have at least met 2 of the staff in person, but did so long before any of us knew what a tag was. I saw tags in Jacki's emails to me and I of couse wanted some too. I met Jacki online and found out we grew up only a few blocks apart and went to the same high school at different times though. We have gotten together a few times in Florida and even went to a multi year reunion of good old Chamberlain High School, Go Chiefs!
I met Betty in another group that sent out jokes and what-not, we started chatting and got to meet when she was in New York to see her son play baseball. Betty keeps me grounded in the South which I was afraid I wouldn't be after my Mama passed away.
When Patsy took over for Didi she came up with the idea of me doing a special feature where I could put my love of research and writing to use. That later developed into a special Elvis mailer that we got to work on together. When Betty started this group she let me come along ( or I would have cried like a baby!) and she had the idea of Strolling Down Memory Lane with Candy. People ask me how do I get the ideas of what to stroll to, I can honestly say I have no clue, it just comes when I get that deadline email from Betty and I know I better get crackin', so I do! I hope you all have some good walking shoes, because I ain't done yet!
AND NOW TO STROLL TO COLUMBUS GEORGIA
(insert drum roll here)...
I'm Betty and I started the group Taggin' For Fun back in December 2002. My "original theme" or "signature" of TFF was to be magnolias... Just in case you were wondering why we're decorating this page in magnolias.
I live in Georgia, I also married my high school sweetheart... I've been married to Mr. T for 47 years. I have two sons and one beautiful granddaughter, Jadyn. My husband owns his own business and I own Taggin' For Fun!!
Now that you've met us, let's all say a big HOWDY to one another.
