This indenture made and entered into this the ninth day of December eighteen hundred & thirty nine between BARTON LOVELESS of county aforesaid of the one part & JOHN M. KEITH of the same state and county of Lumpkin of the other part witnesseth that for the consideration of the sum of two hundred & fifty dollars to me in hand paid by the said JOHN M. KEITH the receipt is hereby acknowledged that I have granted bargained and sold and by these presents ____ grant bargain sell unto the said JOHN M. KEITH his heirs and assigns forever all that tract or lot of land situate lying and being in the south half of the thirteenth district & first section & now Lumpkin County known & distinguised by lot No. four hundred & ten in said District containing forty acres more or less & I the said BARTON LOVELESS for myself my heirs & assigned will remain and forever defend all the rights & titles of the aforesaid lot or tract of land from myself my heirs & assigns and all the claims of all and every other person lawfully claiming the same or any part thereos unto the said JOHN M. KEITH his heirs and assigns & to their own proper use benefit and ____ forever in fee simple.
