Lucille Ryan

Lucille Ryan, 88, passed to the Lord’s hands on July 26, 2011 at Southerland Place. Lucy was born and raised in Paducah, KY graduating from Heath High School and crowned the Basketball Homecoming Queen. She was a homemaker and a member of a ladies sewing group, the Sew and Sos, for over 40 years. Lucy was a very active member of Second Baptist Church. Mrs. Ryan, the widow of Ernest Ryan, was preceded in death by son, Willis Lynn Ryan and is survived by her daughter Terry Smith and her husband Carl, brothers Smith “Shrimp”, Arnold, Maurice, and Leerie Scott, grandchildren Tony Rowland and his wife Michelle, and Todd Rowland and his wife Anne, great- grandchildren Wilkes, Darby Ann, Elizabeth, Cate, and Thomas, and step-grandchildren Christine and Carolyn Van De Vuurst. Lucy also leaves several nephews and cousins. The family will receive friends Friday, July 29 from 5 until 8 p.m. and funeral service Saturday, July 30 at 10 a.m. both at Memorial Park Funeral Home. A graveside service will be held at Mt. Zion Cemetery in Paducah, KY Saturday, July 30 at 4:30 p.m., with visitation from 3 until 4 p.m. at Milner Orr Funeral Home, 120 Memorial Dr., Paducah, KY.
