Gift From Above by Rachel Waspe
It crept up on me gently; I never saw it come,
I didn’t see its footfall or hear its gentle hum.
It came up from behind me and took me by surprise,
It woke me up, it startled me, and opened up my eyes.
I saw you then for what you were – a prince inside a frog,
A rock of faith so steadfast, unwavering as a log.
It came as like a gift from heaven, a present from above
It healed my heart and set me free. The gift that they call LOVE
