Special Creatures
These are unusual encounters within the campaign world. They are usually created by the Dungeon Master when a creature cannot be found that suits his/her needs for an exciting encounter. Sometimes it is necessary for the DM to come up with a creature without having time to thumb through and look for one within his library. This is encouraged so long as the encounter is well run.
