This Time
This time that we spend getting to know one another
Means more to me than the intimacy we may one day share.
Not to misinterpret my feelings at that time
This is the time we have now,
And it feels so real and honest.
Within time we will grow even closer
To the true feeling of love.
I do love you for the friend you have become,
And for the secrets that we can share.
We as humans can be and have a tendency
To look for love through our eyes
And not our hearts.
Where you and I are getting into each others heart
One step at a time.
That is what I mean when I say that
This time that we are spending
Means the world to me.
