John Schneider

John Schneider was born on April 8 in Mount Kisco, NY. He showed an interest in acting at the age of 8. He taught himself to play the guitar at the age of 12. He was in all of the school plays. He even took a high performance driving coarse because he loves cars and in case he ever he ever needed it in movies or TV. The role of Bo Duke on The Dukes of Hazzard certainly called for these skills. Both John and Tom did most of the driving of the General Lee where all four wheels were kept on the ground. The casting call of the Dukes was looking for native southern farmboy types. John "acted" the part and got the role.

John has many theater and television credits as well as his successful singing career. He appeared in the Music Man and Grand Hotel on Broadway. He also appeared in many TV shows as well as The Dukes of Hazzard including Christy and Diagnosis Murder. His most recent role was as Sheriff Daniel on Dr. Quinn Medicine Woman before the untimely cancelation of the series. He was also in many made-for-TVmovies including Christmas Comes To Willow Creek and Reunion In Hazzard with Tom Wopat.

John is involved in worldly causes. He began FaithWorks Productions in January 1995, which was company dedicated to the distribution and production of quality, family entertainment. He co-founded the Children's Miracle Network to raise over ONE BILLION DOLLARS for hospitals for children in the US and Canada.
