Otis B. "Sonny" Shroyer was born on August 28 in Valdosta, Geogia. Sonny won a football scholarship at the University of Florida. He recieved his BBA Degree at the University of Georgia. He was a professional model which led to roles in movies and television. Sonny was in James Best's acting class and starred with James in the Burt Reynolds movie "Gator". Sonny was also in "The Longest Yard" and "Smokey and the Bandit" as a motorcycle cop. This was the first of many times he ended up in a pond in the role of a lawman. He was Coach Bear Bryant in "Forest Gump". Sonny was in over twenty movies.
Some of Sonny's TV appearences other than "The Dukes of Hazzard" and "Enos" include, "Matlock", "I'll Fly Away", "In The Heat of the Night", and the "Alice" episode with Sorrell Booke.
Sonny really gets in his role of Enos at personal appearances which he wears an uniform from the show. He is a delight to fans both young and old.
