Tom Wopat was born September 9 on a small dairy farm in Lodi, Wisconsin. He is one of 8 children. He was bitten by the singing and acting bug early when he began to sing and dance in school musicals at the age of 12. After high school, he studied music at the University of Wisconsin and took part in several musical productions there.
Tom is a very versatile and talented performer having acting credits of TV and Broadway and a successful recording contract which he was fortunate to get while filming The Dukes of Hazzard.
Some of the Broadway plays he was in are Olympus On My Mind as the Greek god Jupiter, City of Angels as Dectective Stone, and Guys and Dolls as Sky Masterson. Tom is currently in "Annie Get Your Gun" His television credits as well as Luke Duke include Peaceable Kingdom with Lindsey Wagner, Cybill as Jeff Robbins, Cybill's first ex-husband, and Home Improvement as the Granite Guy.
Tom reunited fellow Dukes star John Schneider in the CBS movies-of-week Christmas Comes To Willow Creek and the Dukes of Hazzard Reunion Reunion in Hazzard. Tom also appeared with John on some concert dates of his tour last summer along with Sonny Shroyer and Joe Stacey's excellent General Lee.
