I KNOW YOU KNOW
I know your heart as my own,
For we share this feeling of being alone.
I wish we did not know so well,
This sense of loss that we can not tell.
For the feelings that run too deep inside,
These feelings we can not always hide.
So when you feel that heartfelt pain,
Just know I feel the very same.
Though this will not comfort then,
I pray one day it shall begin.
For we are told from those who know.
This pain will seem to only grow.
I find these words now painfully true,
For I'm just a few steps ahead to you.
I'll continue to hope the memories so dear,
Will take over our thoughts from year to year.
So as we each have these burdens to bear,
I know that with you I can always share.
And in sharing our losses I hope we shall grow,
This has changed us forever, as I Know You Know.
