SCI FI SUMMER CON 2003 - We had a good time at SFSC 2003. There were many fun and foolish events to participate in! kol kevin and lt angela participated in the mystery men costume contest. scott from the fury took second place in that as 'the hemeroid avenger', and ian from the hotlanta rebels took 1st as 'the plunger'.
More important than that, we collected more than $230 for charity, from donations from the klingon assassin's guild and the convention CBR. the big take on the assassin's guild was having the nemesis com's officer assassinated for $57, by a very unmentionable means, indeed.
we also ran a raffle for support for the DC2003 KAG party.

SNELLVILLE DAYS PARADE 2003 - We had a good overcast morning for this parade. 15 of us participated. This time, the MC at first got our name wrong, then, with a little prompting got it correct!

CHARITY PUTT PUTT CHALLENGE AT MALIBU - 6 april at the MALIBU GRAND PRIX theme park in norcross. 111 canned goods donations were given by us and the GA501st storm troopers, Hotlanta Rebels, ASFS, SFI, and even some money donations by other patrons. almost 50 of us sci fi folks showed up this time (that seems to be the average number).
we all played well, and enjoyed the good weather. It had rained earlier in the day, but not long enough to keep the go-cart track wet, so we could skid well like last time.
we finished the day with some video games and group photos. photos to come.

ST. PATRICK'S DAY PARADE, 15 march - 10 of us participated. we marched and rode well, despite being stuck way in the back this time! the weather was perfect for wearing our costumes! sadly, we did not appear on tv, news or otherwise. however, pictures will be posted soon.
Q-ZAR LASER TAG CHALLENGE - JANUARY 2003 - it was the klingons vs. the stormtroopers again at the QZAR LASERTAG ARENA in duluth.
sadly, no other groups attended, tho we challenged many local sci-fi/fantasy groups.
The stormtroopers were in rare form this time, winning the first game well. they had a couple of mal-content teenagers from another group thrown in on their side as well. there was a rumor that they had been practicing on their own, and it showed.
we klingons on the other hand, were so overly motivated that we ended up shooting our own team as much as we shot the opposition! however, we got our act together more by the second game, and won the second game.
Thanks and recognition to all who participated and attended!
pictures to come...
