This is RedArwing. After a long absence, I have decided to get the club moving again. At first, I thought my love for EarthBound had died away, It did. But only for a short while. Now I am back full force with a completely new Newsletter for you. The newsletters name is now "The Moon Shadow"
The newsletter may become monthly, or bi-weekly (Every two weeks) I want to know what you think about me reviving the club, so e-mail me with your opinions. Are you glad, are you careless, did you just delete the newsletters when I sent them anyway? Send in whatever you want me to post on the newsletter. I will post your stories, your ads, your codes, your hints, or anything else you might have thats lying around on your computer.
Theres been alot of talk about EarthBound ZERO. I will have a section on that soon. If you do not know what EarthBound ZERO is, it is a prequel to EarthBound that was released on the NES in Japan around 1987. If you want this game to play on your computer, you will first need an emulator. An emulator is a device that tricks your computer into thinking its an NES. Then download an EB ZERO ROM. A ROM is a game. This is perfectly legal if you follow the rules. Go to an Internet search engine and type in "NES ROMS and Emulators" It should give you a list of sites that will let you download ROMS and emulators. It should take about 3 minutes to download an emulator. Another 3 to download the game. Please dont ask me to send you an emulator or a game. The game is boring and dull to people who are big fans of the SNES version. But wait! Theres something here for you too!!! The Japenese version of EarthBound (Mother2) is in the process of being translated, so now you can see what EarthBound looked like, before it was "polished, corrected, and changed" for the American Industry. It wont be entirely different, but I have seen screen shots, and its noticebly changed.
I am. You are. He is. They are. Everybodys drooling over EarthBound 64. The screenshots are not enough. Though its been heard that the 64DD will never be released in america, due to slow sales, or something, Mother 3 is definately a sight for sore eyes. So far as news goes.....
- Ness will not be a playable character in EB64, but will make appearances......
- The game has no set release date, as it is still not known if it will be released in the U.S......

EARTHBOUND ZERO
EB ZERO may not be exactly as addictive as EarthBound for SNES, but its enjoyable in its own way. Its kinda like a low-rate sequel to EB. As if someone made it on their own computer. (Cause its NES)
my observations:
EarthBound EarthBound ZERO Chrono trigger Pokemon
Ness Ken Crono Ash
Onett Podunk Truce Pallet
Cemetary Cemetary Gravestone None

PRESS CONFERANCE:
Hello this is your president speaking...ahem....ahem.........oh!!! I'm sorry! Citizens of EagleLand, I would like to present to you a young man by the name of Ned. What??? Oh, right, NESS. Whatever... This boy saved our country from almost certain doom. Any questions??
REPORTER: "Yes, Mr. President, how did the boy save our country? Was it some kind of un-noticed flaw in the government system, or a fatal mistake that was found and corrected in time....?
President: "Well no, It says here on my script...Oh! I mean I'VE been told that the boy saved us from aliens in outer space.
(Snickers from the crowd)
Reporter: Mr. President, did this boy have any assistance of any sorts...maybe, a military division, or navy seals?
President: Hold on let me check.....ummm....lets see... No, but he was helped by a young girl with telepathic powers, a young mechanical genius, and a Ninja Prince from the floating continent Dhalaam.
(More snickers)
Reporter: Mr. President! Mr. President? Did the young man have any weapons?
President: Well, yes of course.
Reporter: What kinds?
President: Baseball bats, slingshots, frying pans, ray guns... you know...the usual...
Reporter: Did this boy really save the planet?
President: Yes...

Who would win????
We've all done it before..Argued in the schoolyard.... On the playground, or at home. We've all argued about who would win in a fight between Batman and Spiderman, or who would win a race? The Flash, or Superman? Now, I, RedArwing, bring you the pleasure of arguing who would win In EarthBound Moon Shadow's "Who would win?"
- Youll read each contestant, and vote for who should win.
- The event can be anything, but I will choose. Race, Fight, or even Brains!
- You send in your suggustions for a fight, and I'll give it to you! Thats a promise! (Has to be reasonable though)
THIS WEEKS "WHO WOULD WIN?" IS:
Who would win in a fight between Everdred and the captain of police: Chief Strong?
Send in your answers!!!!

Game Reviews
1. Zelda 64
2.Body Harvest
3.Turok 2
4. Rogue Squadron
1. - Zelda 64: Ocarina of Time-
Zelda 64 was definately worth the wait, when and if you get this game, you will be sucked into it immediatly. This game is so fun, so fast, so cool, so clever, and so hot, youll be sweating before the title screen appears. The game begins as child link, when your about 11 yrs old. Link can only tote one sword at this age, and it looks like more of a wooden toy than anything else, but, anyways, the game unfolds into a vast majority of events, that can only unravel towards a peaceful ending, if you, The Hero Of time, can set things straight. Link falls asleep for seven years, and becomes 17 yr old link, only a few hours into the game. Then he must conquer the forest temple to be able to travel back in time.
The game is fun and addicting, the kind of game I like, but it can also be frusturating, which is not good for me, because, everyone tells me I have a very short temper, and I do. You should see me. Two words: Water Temple.
If you Liked the first Zelda, the second, the third or the fourth, than youll like the fifth addition to the series. The game follows more of a Mario 64 style-like game play, but that doesnt mean its strayed from its original spice, that we all know and love....
OVERALL GRADE: 9.3
This grading system is based upon my taste in games. Adventure, RPGs, strategy, and fighting are among my top favs. If your taste in games differs, than the rating above may not be a reliable support to buy, purchase, or steal the game. Thank You. - RedArwing
Body Harvest - N64 - Adventure/RPG/Action - November 1998
Body Harvest is Quake meets Blast Corps. You are a soldier from the future, who must travel back in time to prevent the gradual take-over of space aliens. You are on foot, except when you find one of the 60 vehicles that include Tanks, Yahcts, and planes. Also a variety of weapons including machine guns, hunting rifles, sunsheilds (Reflects sunlight into a bright flaming beam) and a lot of others. This games difficulty level is beyond frusturating, but theres a whole lot of game shark codes, and game codes.
If you liked Blast Corps, Turok, or Midway games, you'll probably enjoy this game.
OVERALL GRADE: 8.6
Turok 2: SEEDS OF EVIL
- Turok was a hit from the start. The game silently crept onto the N64 in March 1997, and became an instant favorite. The game sold millions of copies, and became one of the first additions to Nintendo's Players Choice game series.
In the original Turok, you started the game in a mysterious jungle, and players just couldnt get used to the c-button movement controls. There was a vast array, of weapons, many different enemies, and buckets of blood.
In Turok 2: Seeds of Evil, the game brings all the features that made the first game a hit, and even more. The game now has a multi-player mode, similar to Goldeneye, including a game, where one player is a monkey, and everyone tries to blow his brains out. I'm no hater of animals, but its still pretty funny to watch the monkey die, after it gets shot in the head.
Overall, the graphics are the best to date, the game-play rocks, and there are even more weapons to choose from. The controls are the same as the original, along with health icons, points etc...
This game rocks, one of the best this year...
OVERALL GRADE: 9.1
Rogue Squadron:
- Rogue Squadron, is basically a whole game filled with "First level on Shadows of the Empire"-like boards. The game starts with you and a few members of your team, protecting Mos Eisley from TIE fighter scum. The board is complete with Jabbas Palace, Sarlacc Pits, and probe droids.
Unlike the above games, I havent played this one very much, but from what I've seen, it looks like it gets old, fast. The game is one of the two that has already been released, to support the expansion pak. (Turok is the other) If you liked Star Fox, you might like it, but if you liked Star Wars SOE, you would probably enjoy it more.
OVERALL GRADE: 8.5
