Daniel's Graduation Day 2002 On March 15, 2002, my brother Daniel McComas graduated from Marine Corps boot camp at Parris Island, SC. The weather hovered around 80 degrees and sunny for the event and, apart from the sand fleas (basically vicious gnats), the event was a pleasant and interesting one. It was a proud moment for the McComas family. Below are some photographs from the event. Please be patient as the photographs load. |

| Flags on the Strip Numerous flags lined the street near the bleachers area where the ceremony took place. To the left in the photograph is the main strip leading into and out of Parris Island. After 12 weeks pushed to their limits, the Marines were more than happy to leave the camp behind. |
