Expected Pigeon
Breeding Results by Frank Mosca After
the first eight rows, I'm going back to fancier language. I
simply want folks to be aware that homozygous (homo), heterzygous
(hetero), and hemizygous (hemi) are easy to use and consider and
sometimes do make things easier. In fancier language, homo would
be "pure for", hetero is often said to be "carrying", hemi has no
real fancier term, but it simply means that the hen, at least for
sex-linked factors only carries one allele at all times. NOT
everything
in the hen is hemizygous, only those things on her
sex-chromosome.

SPREAD IS NOT PART
OF THE PATTERN SERIES (Spread is what makes "blue" black, Ash-red (spread ash), brown (self brown) Sex is immaterial with Spread. |
