I just wanted to explain this story and fill in the background a bit. At least this way, you won't be completely oblivious as to what's been done here.

In 2004, I began playing an MMORPG (Massive Multiplayer Online Role Playing Game) called Star Wars: Galaxies on the Intrepid Server. The community there was quite diverse and a number of players had started their own player content called GrooveFest. Here, craftsmen could show players their wares, they had droid fights and speeder races, performance competitions, player versus player tournaments, etc. One of these player created events was a story, written by a player named Niix Starkyller, that would involve other players in a scavenger hunt style quest called the GrooveFest Quest (GFQ). He wrote a story last year called Chasing Ghosts. Although the story was complete enough for the quest, he felt there was a lot of the story he had to cut out due to time constraints. As an idea, he decided to let other players fill in the blanks by writing parts of these stories themselves. I, portraying a small part in the overall scope of the story, was asked to write my own account where myself and a few guild members were trying to get information from an unwilling source. That was where Bottom of the Deck came from. Although I don't particularly care for fan fiction, I couldn't pass up the opportunity to try my hand at adding to such a great story.

So here it is. I hope you enjoy Ghost Tales: Bottom of the Deck.
