Welcome to the Cyberspace location of
Catocattery Sphynx. We are a sphynx cats breeder and encourage visitors to our homes, but if
geographics cannot support your trip, we hope you will enjoy the view of
our hairless cats from your living room.
We are dedicated to breeding healthy
sphynx kittens in our homes. We have a long history of breeding dogs (golden retrievers and pomeranians) and have now extended our program to include the wonderful hairless cats which we have had as pets for a long time. We are proud to say that in fifteen years of breeding purebred animals, not one has been returned for any reason.
Our kittens live with us,
and are never caged. They are out and about in the households doing
what cats do - eating, napping, playing, napping, sitting, and messing with the computer keyboard.
The sphynx are like other cats in this way, just hairless. Visit the gallery to see many pictures of sphynx cats growing up and answer many questions about their care.
But the sphynx
are a special breed. To know one, is to love one. Exotic, beautiful,
outgoing, playful (they never grow up), and nonshedding. They are
strictly indoor animals, but love a sunny window. In cooler environments
they enjoy sporting a sweater in the house. They are grateful for a warm bath to remove oil which can accumulate on their suede-like skin about once per week. And they love to burrow under the covers in a bed, eager for the warmth of human companionship.
The priorities
of our sphynx breeding program are health of the kittens, socialization,
and development of their wonderful personalities. We frequently take pictures of the sphynx kittens as they grow up and mature, so be sure to check the New Litters page for some cute photographs of healthy kittens. Health is of utmost importance
for our sphynx. We want the kittens to enjoy a long and happy life
in a loving home, and hardly ever need the caring attention of a veterinarian, with the exception of routine physicals and immunizations.
Please enjoy
perusing the site, and email us, Catocattery Sphynx, if you have questions.
You might visit Sphynx Cat Breeders for a comprehensive list of other breeders of these kittens. Thanks for your visit.
