Hello Friends,
First let me thank you for visiting the web-site and now for considering a visit to Crosswinds. Crosswinds is more like a family than it is an institution and warming up and feeling at home doesn't take very long.
Certainly we are aware of certain discomforts people may face as they come into a new place or environment. At Crosswinds we try to be sensitive to this need and though we are friendly, we do not pressure people to be more involved than they are comfortable in doing so.
At Crosswinds, we feel that it’s OUR responsibility to “clear the way” for you to come to church. We want you to be able to experience the great music, encouraging messages, friendly people and enjoyable atmosphere that are a part of the Crosswinds fellowship.
We know that your first time at a church, any church, brings up some questions. How do I get there… what should I wear… what’s available for my kids… what should I expect in church?
Here is a quick look at what you can expect, based on what people see when they visit Crosswinds. You'll enjoy upbeat music and practical messages that help you deal with real life issues.
We'll even send you a helpful weekly e-outline with the Bible passages and announcement to let you plan your activities with the Crosswinds Family. What you learn on the weekend, you'll be able to use during the week.
CLOTHING IS CASUAL
We're more concerned with meeting your real life needs than with what you wear. So, dress casually and you'll fit right in. After all, we have pastors who wear casual attire as well!
WORSHIP STYLE:
Is a balance of upbeat contemporary and traditional Music. Music has the power to speak to the heart! Since we all have hearts that thrive on encouragement and that need to be energized – the music at Crosswinds is encouraging and energizing. We want you to get a lift and not a let down when you come to church!
We all like different styles of music, so there are several music styles at Crosswinds. Currently we have three distinctly different worship styles represented in our venues. The words are projected through power point presentations so you may keep your hands free from cumbersome Hymn and Praise books.
CHRISTIAN EDUCATION
A NURSERY IS PROVIDED IN ALL SERVICES
CW KIDZ: 1:00 p.m.
We know that as a parent you need be sure that your children are in a SAFE learning environment. And we know that your children are looking for a FUN place to learn. We've invested a lot to make sure that both of these goals are reached. You'll see that in the buildings the children and students meet in, and even more in the volunteers who work with your kids.
SUNDAY MORNING MESSAGES 1:00 p.m.
Teaching pastors focus their messages on real life issues. We want you to be able to say that what we talked about on the weekend gave you something that could help you on Monday: in your family, at your work, with your life. At the core of it all is the fact that God has made all of us to live purpose driven lives. ,p.It’s not about religion, it’s about a relationship with God. It’s not about pretending that we're perfect, it’s about a God who is willing to give His grace so we may grow in Him.
There is so much more, (i.e.; Internet outreach, daily devotionals, missions, monthly outings, Group picnics, marriage encounters, annual women's Christmas shopping trips, and get away weekends where church families plan retreats to near-by beaches or mountains.)
It is our desire to help you with an easy church family transition without creating un-due pressures. We would love to have you join us in fellowship this week.
If we can be of further assistance to you please feel free to e-mail us at drronaldpowell@cox.net or call us at 478-254-3143. For more information about Crosswinds and of course, feel free to re-visit our web site at www.crosswindsinternational.org. We want to be here for you.
