My Shadow

A shadow for me to see, I imagine it is you walking with me.
You follow me everyday, protecting me all the way.
You never leave my side, not even wanting to hide.
You walk so near, just to take away all my fear. 

I pretend it’s you, walking with me like you use to do.
I talk with you for awhile, making it all worthwhile.
I see you everyday, knowing you will never say.
A shadow for me to see, I know your there just for me.
