·        Promote fundraising for scholarships.

·        Help K-12 students with tutoring and interactive engineering activities designed to raise awareness of the possibilities of perusing engineering as a career.

Community Outreach

·        Sponsor a variety of community events designed to increase community, parental, and student involvement in engineering, math and science.

·        Encourage interaction with other Hispanic, technical, and minority organizations geared towards improving the community.

Professional Development

·        Establish a training program to enhance the development of leadership skills.

·        Provide seminars on professional growth and career development.

·        Promote awareness of job opportunities and career guidance in industry.

·        Publicize information on entrepreneurship and business opportunities.

Organizational Development

·        Enhance pride and excellence within the organization through the promotion of high ethical standards, professional achievement, cultural diversity, and continuous self-improvement.

·        Maintain sound management and controls to protect the longevity of SHPE and promote the effective use of its resources.
