Plot Outline
May 22, 1996, Texas. It's prom night, and Heather [Lisa Newmyer] is outside searching for her boyfriend, Barry [Tyler Cone]. She stumbles upon him making out with another girl, and storms off to his car and he follows. Then in the midst of their argument, Jenny [Renee Zellweger] and Sean [John Harrison] pop up in the back of the seat. The teens continue to argue, and are directed on a detour into the woods. They try and find a spot to turn around, and are struck by another vehicle, leaving the driver of the other car unconscious. Sean stays with the driver, while Jenny, Heather, and Barry look for help. They stumble upon an insurance office run by Darla [Tonie Perensky], and call for help there. Meanwhile, Sean is attacked by Vilmer [Matthew McConaughey] and is eventually run over by his truck. Jenny gets split up from Heather and Barry on their way back to the crash scene, and Heather and Barry wander off to an old farmhouse where W.E. [Joe Stevens] and Leatherface [Robert Jacks] await. Jenny soon meets Vilmer, and is chased through the woods, until she runs into Leatherface... that's when the real terror sets in.
