Mutations/powers: increased size and intelligence
Desc Ro'tal are large cousins of zar'tal. These roaches however are not cloaked in darkness and do not have the extreme diet of the zar'tal. They are giant German cockroaches and have black and brown patterning.
Cmbt Ro'tal hunt alone and attempt to stay hidden from those that might feed upon it. If one comes upon a dead or dying body, it tries to tear off a hunt and scuttle to a safe feeding spot. If attacked, a ro'tal will
try to fly away, and only if cornered with use its mandibles to defend itself. Though solitary, they do gang up to defend themselves or if they find a large food source.
Hab Ro'tal are found mostly in urban and suburban environments. They prefer ruins and will only emigrate to large forests under duress. They, like most roaches, eat anything that is remotely organic. And their main predator is (oddly enough), mutant felines.
Soc Ro'tal are solitary, but are intelligent enough to see the uses of swarms. They are found in large groups usually during the mating seasons (4 per year).
