The World Trembled upon this day, for it is the rebirth of the Brotherhood of Obsidian. A symbol of Darkness in a world of light. We are the Union of evil that is the downfall of all light and we serve the Lord of Darkness, the creator of Everything, Obsidian. He is our forgotten Lord, remembered by those only wise enough to seek wisdom beyond the norm. These few are the Brothers and Sisters of Obsidian. Together we slowly wrap our veil of Obsidian around the world while blinding them with false sense of victory and triumph, but slowly the veil is getting tighter. Our Lord Obsidian is imprisoned in his eternal cell, our goal is to free our lord to the world of Norrath where we will all reign as Gods upon his arrival!
To walk in the darkness of Obsidian is a great honor to any evil denizen of this land of Norrath, for we pride ourselves in destruction, mayhem, and the pain of the populace of this weak world. The world bends their knee to our will, for long we have waited in silence, watching, planning. But the Brothers of Obsidian have layed in silence for too long, and it is now time for us to show the world the "light" of Obsidian. Through pain we shall purify the souls that stand so soiled with goodness. Through fire, we shall cleanse the world of all impurities. And being the last standing, the Brothers of Obsidian shall remake the world in the image of Obsidian. And upon this world, Obsidian shall reign eternal.
Rules of Game Conduct
(The Necessary evil, OUT OF CHARACTER GUILD LAWS)
(ALL BELOW LAWS ARE OUT OF CHARACTER)
* A member of the Brothers of Obsidian MUST have their Guild tag on at all times EXCEPT upon which times that you are grouping with an opposing guild. (which I want kept to an ABSOLUTE minimum.) We should all wear our guild tag and name with honor and pride and should NEVER want to not have it shown.
* Be evil, be cruel, be just down right mean, but that does not include KSing, training, or any other activity that is just plan stupid. Roleplaying is a fine art with many ways to do it, but NONE of them include being RUDE. If I discover that you do not know the different between IN CHARACTER and OUT OF CHARACTER you will be removed from the guild. The way we feel about our enemies in character does not come close to reflect how we feel about them out of character. Nothing while Roleplaying should ever be taken to the OOC level.
* Respect should be shown to all officers within the guild, insulting officers and such is... to say the least, frowned upon and if continues to occur you will be removed from the guild. Us Officers work very hard to make the experience of the Brothers fun for all. We should be shown some respect even though it is just a game.
* All members that have entered the guild without going through the process set by the rules in the "Joining" area will be removed. They will then be given the chance to get the support they need by going through the process. If not, then they are not willing to work to get into our guild, therefore, are not deserving of our ranks. (This does not include any member brought into the guild prior to the February 1st Meeting)
(More will be added, please check again)
Guild Laws
Even within
evil, one must have a set of rules that set the guild lines for
ALL members. All these rules MUST be followed, and disregard of
any rules will result in immediate trial and possible expulsion.
One warning may be offered but ONLY one if the offense is minor.
We regard this guild VERY seriously and although it does exist
only for the purpose of fun and Roleplaying you will learn that
if you follow the rules everything will be a lot more pleasant
for you and all other within the game. Ok, on with the
rules
.
General Rules
1. Ksing (Kill Stealing) IS NOT PERMITTED! Upon first offense you
will be removed from the guild. KSing reflects badly upon the
guild and upon yourself and makes the game down right unenjoyable
for everyone. If you are being KSed upon then report it to
Edwrin, Asreell, Sarkam, Cthen, Remamyen, Portamors, or Aamrie
and they will do something about it at a later time
At the
time, please just move on and do not create an argument which
also reflects very badly upon the guild. In reporting the event
to the council, report the names of all those involved, a time,
and a location
We will do everything in our power to
prevent this from happening in the future.
2. Do not TRAIN onto people. This is just as bad a KSing.
Training monsters onto people for the purpose of causing them
harm is dishonorable and does not reflect good upon the guild and
yourself. Basic rules apply to this rule as KSing, report it in
if done to you and perhaps duel the person if you can defeat them
to end it. But do not start training monsters on them. If you do,
immediate trial and possible explusion from the guild will occur.
3. Show respect to all superiors within the guild. Although this
is only a game there is a chain of command. Failure to property
show respect for your superiors will be frowned upon greatly and
will not get you expelled until your disrespect becomes too
great. But promotions will not come easily to you until you learn
the proper chain of command. If in the Hall of Novices one should
Kneel before an officer
If and higher than the Hall of
Novices one should either salute or bow. Show proper respect and
you will be smiled upon in the council.
GuildChat Rules
1. No spamming of any kind on guild chat
You will be given
1 warning about this. At the second warning you will be removed
from the guild.
2. Jokes and such are appreciated and will be taken with good
humor. But, if it gets out of hand you will be asked to stop.
Failure to stop will end up in suspension from the guild
Suspension is where you will not be able to gain any rank, you
will not be given any item and are VERY close to losing
membership. Work hard, and one can get off suspension.
3. Guild chat shall NOT be used to buy items. We have had major
problems with people asking constantly for items and money. This
will not be tolerated.
4. You may ask over guildchat to sell an item before you sell it
to the general public. Unless you are in need of money try to
give a fellow guild member a discounted price also.
5. Any arguments over GuildChat will NOT be tolerated and you
will be asked to take it to the /tell level
Refusal will
result in guild expulsion. The Master of Obsidian or an Officer
will mediate between the parties. Anyone unwilling to do this,
does not deserve to be within our folds. So get out.
Guild-War Laws
1. NO LOOTING
ITEMS OFF CORPSES!!! If I discover that this has occurred then I
will do everything within my power to have this person removed
from EverQuest entirely. All should carry a small amount of cash
upon them to be looted from their corpse as a small gesture of a
battle well fought.
2. NO TRAINING OF MONSTERS!!! Training of monsters during anytime
in the game will get you expelled from the guild, during war time
will be the same. Any training of monsters to defeat an enemy in
a war will be GREATLY frowned upon. If this occurs from an enemy
that we battle, then report it to the Council immediately.
Charming though is legal.
3. No zone line camping. Zone lines are off limits during a war,
and there will be other tactical positions that we will call all
to. Camping of the zone lines is illegal and will get you
expelled from the guild. All, we are in this for fun, win or lose
it is for FUN. Keep it that way.
4. If you are killed by the enemy, you are required to go
non-roleplay and anonymous (turn off your guild tag. Type
/roleplay then /anonymous to do this.) for a period of one hour.
During this time you are "dead" and cannot interact in
the war in any way. This includes giving information or hints to
those participating in the war. After your one hour time period
you may feel free to reenter the conflict.
5. Guild Tag must be visible the ENTIRE duration of the war
except when killed or not wishing to participate in the war
Once you have turned off your guild tag, you may not reenter the
war. (Sorry)
6. Attacking people 5, 8, even 10 on 1 is completely legal during
wartime. What is NOT legal is attacking someone after they have
just finished a fight and is down to about 50% health. Enemies
should have full health when you attack them
Approach them,
RP with them until they are full healed, then the battle can
commence.
7. The Chain of Command will be STRICTLY followed
One must
bow and kneel in the presence of Officers and ALWAYS kneel in the
presence of the Master of Obsidian or the UnderMaster. If you do
not, you will not be expelled but you will not be getting a
promotion anytime soon. Proper respect should be shown for those
who spend a lot of their time making the game an enjoyable place
for all.
8. All problems that occur during wartime will be settled AFTER
the war has ended. All problems at the END of the war will be
handed over to the Obsidian High Council for review and
judgement. Please, no whining in the middle of battle.
9. Please be warned. We are not responsible for you traveling on
your own in Norrath while at war. BUT! We will provide an escort
or a buddy to travel with you. If you travel on your own, you
travel at your own risk. You have been warned.
10. All members when signing onto the game during wartime must
say through guildchat Name, Rank, and location This
is so all our forces can be easily assembled and mobilized for
war against whatever threat arises.
More will most likely be added in the future but for now, follow
ALL these laws. Failure to follow them will AFTER THE WAR, be
presented to the Obsidian High Council and will most likely
result in expulsion for major offenses and PURIFICATION for non-major
offenses. Purification is a secret ritual, but let us just say,
you wish to avoid it at ALL cost.
