The graphics are good for that time, with a excellent sense of distance, height and speed, when flying low at high speeds over the scenary. The sound effects are also very impressive, with a good engine noise and the 'punch' of the afterburners. There is even a "sonic boom" when you get Mach 1 speed!

Low pass over the Bay Area

The object models are good too, but with a bit of "squashed" look (I think that Activision's Fighter Bomber had the best 3D airplane graphics I've seen in an Amiga flight sim). The colour palette is too dark and a bit pale, you have to adjust up the brightness of your monitor :-)

Landing on San Francisco International Airport

The dogfights are rather good, with agressive enemy MIGs (actually, the MIG graphics are of a black F-16, I think it's the reason you almost cannot get close to a MIG, to hide this odd feature ;-)

You say "but modern air combat is from large distances"...Not! When you're out of missiles, it's guns-only combat at close range! I can only get very close of the enemy in a mission where there's 2 stolen F-16 and you have to destroy them to protect the technology...

Aside for this minor glitch, the game is really enjoyable and many Amiga users today put this as the most playable Jet-sim on the Amiga (I agree).
