WOW...4 months since my last update! A lot has happened in CBT and my part in it in that time.

This weekend is Foundation 2003. I will be running demo games in the Dealer's room so stop by and say hello and I will give you a free mini! (Honest!)

10.31.2k2

Well I have just finished my Fire Mandrill Star and will have pics up asap. Very Halloweeny! Also I have got some pics of the Castle Brian and other stuff to put up. Look for an update soon!

10.14.2k2

Well Tom and I didn't make it to the Blaine Lee Pardoe book singing because of a faulty fuel pump grrrrr. But the weekend was salvaged thanks to Tim and his daughter Gail you guys are great thanks alot for coming over and letting Tom and I beat up on you lol. On another note thanks to Ted and Chuck of playbattletech.org for the wonderful care package I expected a piece of paper or poster or something signed but much to my surprise I got a copy of Exodus Road signed by the author also a shiny new Hellion and Fafnir you guys rock!!! See you at Ucon...........WYRM

10.05.2k2

Ummm...yeah, well I guess I have missed something because the new Project Pheonix update is for October...not September. The new mechs are the Ostscout, Shadowhawk, Griffin, and Archer. I like the new designs as they all have a healthy dose of Weapons now. Even the Ostscout. Have fun and talk to you soon!

10.04.2k2

I am thinking I may be getting better at my updates thanx to Ted and Chuck Wilson of Play Battletech.org and my attendance at Foundation! Have I said you guys are the best yet today???

OK...the latest update to "Project Pheonix" is up! Project Pheonix is the re-introduction of some great mechs that were taken away from us by Legal Mumbo Jumbo! The prior update reintroduced the Locust, Pheonix Hawk, Thunderbolt, and Marauder. This issue is even better with the Wasp, Griffin, Warhammer, and Goliath (yes the old Assault Quad is back...minus the turret!) Have a look and see the new art for yourself!

09.23.2k2

Just returned home from Foundation Con in East Lansing. WOW! What a turnout! I am hopin that at least half of the people I taught to play classic battletech will start playing our game. I want to throw a special shout out to Conner (6 year old boy who I taught the game) he made it a lot of fun.

ALSO! Ted and Chuck Wilson, fouders of playbattletech.org who put wurm and I up for the entire weekend...You guys are the BEST! I must say that i have NEVER been made to feel more welcome in someones home than I did this weekend.

AND...(seems like a lot doesn't it?)...I will be contacting Glenn Hopkins to have him do a step by step paint clinic for the site. What started out as Glenn and John Cheeseman doing a paint demo at the beginning of the day, and ended up being Glenn showing about 15-20 people simultaneously(all new players by the way) how to paint their new Pirannha minis. Glenn providing paints and brushes and a helping hand to a certain commando applicant who needed his proto mechs and Madcat painted for the last game of the day! All this while his partner in crime decided to take a little catnap in the corner.(Centaur protomechs kept a ryoken prime busy all night :) )

ONE LAST THING!!! (recurring theme here) John...get some sleep!

08.22.2k2

Well...I guess some apologies are in order for my lack of updates. I have been working non-stop for a game called Neveron It is a lot of fun and my empire is growing strong. But tonight I recieved an email that i could not resist. So i am going to announce that my commando application is still active and I am waiting to see what happens. There is a Convention in East Lansing in September and I will be helping to make it run smoothly. Come see me and say hi!

02.13.2K2

Well...As it must be painfully obvious I have been rather busy working every day for about three months now. After Monte Diablo, I have worked solid and haven't even OPENED my armory at all. But, after seeing the new tourney coming our way...I can't even resisit anymore. I have sent in my application to be a Comando for FanPro and will be running (Cross your fingers) the Martial Olympiad in Alpena end of this month. I hope to see you there.

Classic Battletech has gone absolutely hog wild as of late. They have even brought back some VERY familiar names of mech designs. (ie. Locust, Warhammer...) Some of these designs are available on their website for download. Incorporate some of them into your next game.

Well I guess that is about it for me today. I will make a concerted effort to try to update this page a bit more often. As long as my work for Neveron is kept up to date as well. If you haven't tried Neveron yet...PLEASE do. Closest thing to a Battletech Campaign online as you are ever going to get. New features added daily (Heat sink criticals and flamers doing heat damage were coded last week. Physical attacks are also implemented.) Please give it a shot and if you happen to see Magistracy of Canopus on your empire map, send me a Diplomatic Relations treaty. I like to help new players.

It is a very sad day for BattleTech.  One of our own has passed away in a tragic accident. Joe Frazier, famous for his painting skills with BattleTech miniatures died Monday night while getting ready for work.  He slipped and fell and hit his head on a weight bench.  A link to his Miniature gallery is HERE!  As you will see...He contributed many beautiful minis to the community!

Well, well well. My updates have become quite sparse indeed. Fear not, I bring you the Northern Michigan BattleTech HQ Group.

Click to subscribe to battletechhq

This is not just a group for people in Northern Michigan, It is a group for the entire BattleTech community. It has file sharing, message boards and many other fun and exciting things, which are difficult to maintain on a website. We have very few members right now, (just started) but with more members, will be more things being shared.

I would like to thank Flipper for the beautiful mountain he made for me. I haven't used it yet but will soon! I can't wait.

BattleTech is set in the 30th century. It is a game of armored combat where Huge 30 foot tall robots called Battlemechs are piloted by Mechwarriors. Mechs, as they are commonly known as, are armed to the teeth with autocannons, lasers, short, medium, and long range missiles, and particle projection cannons or PPCs. Some of them also carry hatchets and axes to attack other mechs in hand-to-hand combat.

The pilots known as Mechwarriors are the most highly trained people in the galaxy. They are the stuff legends are made of and are the equivalent of the Knights of old. They are revered as heroes and some societies are based around them. The invaders from outside the Inner Sphere are known collectively as the Clans. Their entire society is based upon the value of the Mechwarrior.
