The Golden Jigsaw Pieces: Gobis Valley

Back To Main Page
Back To Banjo-Kazooie Strategy

Jiggy #1: From the beginning, go up the hill and you'll see a spinx dog. Go in back and climb up his back, get on his nose, and jump to the platforms with the red feathers on them. Then shoot eggs into his nostrils. He'll open up. Inside, go on the carpets and feed the dogs eggs, and they'll take you higher. At the last carpet, jump and get the jiggy.

Jiggy #2: You'll find a Dog statue with a ring on it near Jinxy in the sand. Go on his back and fly through the ring. Then another one will rise up nearby. There are five in all, and they'll all be reletively near Jinxy. Jinxy says to fly through the rings of the "Ancient Ones" to beat the witch, but you just get a jiggy instead.

Jiggy #3: On one of the pyramids, there's a big stake with a bird with a target on it. Beak bomb the target, and then quickly drop inside the door that it opens. Inside you'll find Rubee and Toots, who will give you a jiggy if you pay them with eggs. There's a little bowl the rotates around, plop 5 eggs into it. With each egg, it will get faster. After that, Histup will come out and let you reach the jiggy.

Jiggy #4: One the pyramid towards the back of the level, there will be a switch on top. Pound it, and go inside. There you'll find tiles that have Banjo and Kazooie's picture on them. Pound them to and play a matching game. Wonder wing the mum-mum so you can have no distractions.

Jiggy #5: You'll need the runnin shoes for this one. Find Bottles on the top of the hill near Slappa, and then go up the hill near the pyramid with the wading boots and put on the running shoes. Speed down and snatch his jiggy before he can go back under the sand.

Jiggy #6: That pyramid with the wading boots near by has a long twisted path to get in, and 14 seconds is not enough time to get up without the running shoes. Go up and get the running shoes, run over the switch, and run up. Take the inside edge route, and you'll barely make it. Then get the jiggy to drain the pyramid and fill up the moat.

Jiggy #7: Once the moat is filled with water, stand on the platform that's facing the dog. Feed him 3 eggs, then he'll appear next to another platform. Each time you feed him, you'll make the pyramid rise up. At last, enter the pyramid. Some one will warn you that if you don't turn back you will suffer his wrath. Sure enough, when you go too far, the door closes and you have 60 seconds to get through a maze before the spiked ceiling comes crashing down. First, (at Banjo's point of view) go right, then go left, then left again, left, left, turn on the first turn, keep going, then go left. It's much easier if you have a map, or just do it over and over, and you'll eventually get it.

Jiggy #8: Near the hill with the running shoes, a camel named Gobi is stranding and tied to a rock. A magic carpet will take you over to him. Beak bust the rock, and he'll be thankful and give you a jiggy.

Jiggy #9: You found Trunker the tree at the beginning of the level, and he was thirsty, but you couldn't do anything about it. After freeing Gobi, he'll be sitting in Trunker's shade. Pound Gobi's hump to release his water and give it to Trunker. A jiggy will appear on his head. Go to a tree on the other side and jump over to it.

Jiggy #10: The Jinjo's aren't too tricky here, except for the fact that one of them is in the maze. Here are their locations: Blue Jinjo: After filling the moat with water, he'll be sitting down there.

Green Jinjo: He's stuck in a little section of the pyramid near the wading boots.

Pink Jinjo: He's near the jiggy after the maze, so if you missed him, you'll have to do it again.

Orange Jinjo: He's in Jinxy, behind the first carpet.

Yellow Jinjo: He's behind the Start/Exit pad.
