Return Of The Ancients - Chocobo_ghost
Chocobo_ghost
A clam wind blew through the hair of a younge rider as he sped down the streets of a once great city, Midgar. Derelict and desolate, doomed to an eternity of rubble. The engine roared as he pulled down the throttle to the point of engine blow-out, he raced down the streets on a bike made for speed, engraved on the side was the scratched up letters of 'SHINRA'.
A loud growling sound could be heard from the ancient streets of Midgar, like a lion on the prowl, it moved from street to street, ducking and weaving through the concreat ruins until it came to a screeching halt.
A noise could be heard in the distance by the speed demon, "Hey Zack wait up!," a small teenager could be seen racing through the rubble on what appeard to be a motorbike, but this one had three wheels, but didn't stay on the ground, every now and then it hovered in the air, although it was only for 3 seconds it did.
"Look 'Lord Highwind' I can't wait around for you for ever ya know!" Zack raised one eyebrow and starred at the teenager in such away he could tell that he was being sarcastic,
"Soz Zack, I know how you like speed but I have almost got thiss off of the ground and when I do then I will live my dream of sorring off into the clouds!" younge Highwind stared up into the vast blue nothingness that he longed to goto, he never knew why he needed to or wanted to go...he just felt that was where he belonged.
"No need for appolgies now Luke, let's jus' get a move on! We're wasting valuable speed time!"
"Gotcha Zack," Zack pulled on the throttle untill his engine and sat for a moment listening to the engine purr like a wild cat.
"Jus' listen to that! It's practically asking me to go! Better than that 'Whoose-a-ma-wotsit' that you ride on!"
"I called it Mach1, and at least I built mine by hand," Luke started up his Mach1 as it started to shake,
"Watch out, you don't know what that thing's gonna do, remember...you built it, like the toaster you 'Fixed' it's all over the kitchen floor along with whats left of the toast, Face it you and machinary DON'T go together!"
"Do TOOOOOOOO..." Just as young Highwind spoke the bike cluttered and shot into the air like a cannon ball,
"LUKE!!! God Damn that dumb sh*t!" Zack heard a crackle inside his left ear where the head set marlene had given them, was...
"Come on lets get back to Marlene before she begins to worry!"
"Where are you Highwind?"
"You said it yourself...up high in the wind!!!"
"WHAT?!?!?!?!!?YOUR FLYING??!!?!?!" Luke reached up and held onto his nose to make the affect of a pilots voice,
"That's affirmative!!!"
The smell of sweet carrots and honey roasted ham could be smelt from the edge of the city, from a two bedroom house with a little garden called, 'Secred-Aerith'. The pans were bubbling away steaming, releasing the tasy odour of a roast dinner. There was a 28 year old lady cooking in the kitchen, moving from one end to the other, checking each plate, knife, fork and more importantly, each bit of food as she went. She wore a pink apron and had a shoulder length haircut, with a pink hair band in. The children respected her, even though she wasn't old, but it was because she knew things before they happened, she could sense danger, or lying, so the kids were in some ways obligated to respect her.
"Come in, dinner is almost ready", Zack had paused his hand from motion, close to knocking on the door for the first bang,
"Oh and watch your language!"
"I hate it when she does that! How the hell does she know when we are gonna knock?"
"What did I say Zack? About Language?"
"And she knew what I was gonna say..."
"ZACK!!!" Marlene said with an angry tone, Zack turned the handle and walked in the ghostly house,
"When are we gonna move out? This place gives me the creeps!"
"Zack I have told you we are not moving out, end of subject! We are not the only ones living here...there is a spirit from an ancient living here...one of my old friends asked me to look after this place in her memory...I don't expect you to understand but we can't move out."
"Ouch...Luke don't hit me!" Zack glared at young Highwind,
"IT WASN'T ME I SWEAR!!!"
"You two quit it and go to your rooms until dinner is ready!" The two boys went up the stairs and sat in Luke's bedroom.
"Luke why did you have to hit me?" Zack looked at young Highwind in the most pissed off mood he has ever been in, and Luke just looked back and spoke to him in a very calm and slow voice as if Zack was a child.
"Zack I am telling you, You-Need-to-go-and-see-someone-about-your-head! I-Did-Not-Hit-You-So-Don't-Go-Accusing-Me-Of-Doing-Something-That-I-Did-Not!"
"Well if you didn't who did?" Suddenly from below a scream of pain could be heard...
"Ahhhhhhherrr r r..." and a thud sound as if someone had dropped to the ground,
"Marlene?!" Zack ran to the stairs and slid down the banisyer while Luke ran down the stairs as fast as he could.
Marlene was lying there on the floor unconscious, a small amount of blood came trickling down her nose and Started dripping on the floor, Zack went over to the cupboard and smashed open the glass case,
"Zack you know your not mean't to touch that thing!"
"Marlene told us to only touch it in an emergency and I think that this is a fucking emergancy!"
"Push the green button and say 'Help Marlene' into the hole..."
"Then what smart ass? Your the genious Highwind!" Young Highwind began to shake his head with worry...
"I have no Idea!" Zack picked up the hand set and began to speak into the hole.
"Help Marlene..."
"Nothing...absolutly nothing...did you do it right??"
"Of course I did, maybe it's broken?" Zack looked puzzled at the strange hand set.
"Who's there?" Zack, startled, dropped the handset as a voice could be heard...
"Who's there? If Marlene is in touble we're on our way!" Luke bent down and picked the hand set up, he held onto the switch , fingers sweating,..
"H-e-hel-llo?" as if by magic the handset seemed to speak back...
"We're on our way...who is this?"
"Luke Highwind..and if your gonna get my aunt some help then git it the fuck here God Damn it!"
"Highwind..huh...Might have know...he he!"
