THE INTRODUCTION
Step 1- The explanation.
The Shinra building, home of the most evil corporation in existence. It was set in the centre of the huge city of Midgar. It is difficult to say what Shinra did. They started as a small arms industry, then an aeronautics company now the huge company had discovered a new source of gold to line their pockets with, a type of electrical power, a type of power called mako. Shinra had built reactors all over the world, each city had one the bills for these reactors was astronomical, but each city paid because of the quality of this electricity. What Shinra didn't tell these cities is where mako comes from, it is Shinra's dirty little secret, mako comes from a source of energy called spirit energy.
Spirit energy is formed when any living creature on the planet dies. When it dies it's life force, or spirit energy goes into the planet. When the spirit energy reaches the planet it reaches a thick green river under the ground called the lifestream. The lifestream keeps the planet together and makes all living things possible. Shinra is stealing the spirit energy from the lifestream and fusing it together to make electricity. Shinra realised this and was going to stop after a while, but after the first bill landed in their pocket Shinra decided to keep on producing Mako power. Worse than everything else the reactors have now been producing monsters which roam through forests and moars. Many are docile creatures which only fight when provoked, but most are pure evil, heartless, killing machines, much like the Shinra executives who created them. However this was not a big problem, Shinra said that the monsters are the creation of rebel factions within cities. As punishment for revolution the city in question would be burnt to the ground. This is Shinra's answer to everything, so there wheren't many more cities on the planet, and none of them wanted to question Shinra anymore. That was about to change, and in the next few years Shinra would suffer from Rebellion. Shinra thought someone would question them somewhere along the line, that is where Shinra got an idea, an idea that will start this story.
Step 2- The recruition.
"Where are they!" President Shinra exclaimed, he was short and fat wearing a red suit, he had blonde hair and beard. No one knew his real name they all reffered to him as Presidednt Shinra no one dared to call him anything else.
"Calm down sir they'll be here," Heiddegar reassured him. Heiddegar was of the same build as the president but wore a green buissness suit, he had black hair and beard. Suddenly there was a knock at the door.
"Send them in," President Shinra ordered Heiddegar
"Yes Sir," Heiddegar replied with a sulute. Heiddegar went over to the door and in came a man of average height wearing a blue suit. He had long jet black hair that looked like black straws. Heiddegar quickly grabbed his hand and shook it
"Mr. Tseng, I'm delighted to meet you," He said quickly.
"The pleasure is all yours," Tseng said thrusting his hand away. The President slowly walked up to the evil looking man in the doorway.
"Ah! Finaly, I have been waiting for hours for you," The President moaned.
"Forgive me, I had matters that needed attending to," Tseng replied "namely I had to take care of the man who was having an affair with my wife," he pointed to a briefcase by the door. The President turned a sickly green
"I should have expected as much from Tseng the massacist," The President mused "now if we may turn our attention to the matters at hand."
"Of course," Tseng agreed.
"Heiddegar you may leave us now," The President said to
Heiddegar who was just standing by the door near the briefcase. Heiddegar saluted and left the room, closing the door behind him.
"Now if we may be straight to the point, you have been very busy in the preparations for this meeting. Shinra have been short of a good military, and if we want to seize complete control over the world we need a strong military to keep it in force, this is where you come in, we want you to gather a few people to help in matters concerning Shinras new Soldier program, then hire two highly trained people to do the same, we will, of course, pay you well for this first mission of, of.., well you think of the name of this group yourself," The President said in a mouthfull.
"Yes Sir," Tseng said and walked out of the office next to Heiddegar.
"Heiddegar, warm up the chopper, I'm going to found my new group, The Turks," Tseng said on the way out.
Step 3- The recruits.
Rude slipped some last minute things in his bag, he had just completed the basic training course for the Shinra army and had been submitted by the drill instructor for the Turks, his friend and next-door neighbour Reno had been signed up too. Rude looked around his room, he would miss it, but at the same time he wondered what it would be like in the Turks. He knew that only a few people could be signed up so Rude felt proud that he could be among the small group of Turk trainee's. Rude grabbed his small bag of belongings and went downstairs, his mother looked at him happily. She was an elderly woman with dark black hair, unlike Rude who had no hair at all.
"You look just like your father," Rude's mother said.
"Thanks Mom," Rude replied. He looked down at her and smiled.
"I feel a bit uneasy about the whole thing," Rude's parent admitted. "I mean you with your half-blindness and asperger's syndrome I doubt you could be a good soldier."
"I'll be alright, I mean after all, I won't be going alone," Rude reminded his mother as he pointed out the window at his friend Reno with his bag waitning outside.
"I know you'll be lonely but I'll be back in a month, and if I don't make it I'll be back even sooner,"
"I know, but I'm just scared for you, I've heard awful things about the Shinra drill instructors."
"I'm sure we'll be fine,"
"I think the food is made from ground-up dog's,"
"Bye,"
"and the beds are made of rock,"
"I'll be fine, bye,"
"please write to me,"
"I will."
"Bye,"
"Bye."
Rude went out the door to Reno.
"What took you so long?" Reno enquired. Reno was smaller than Rude, but was still tall. He had short red hair and dark green eyes. He would have looked evil if it was'nt for his, I'm with stupid T-shirt. Rude was tall and muscular, however he had no hair and always wore sunglasses to cover-up his blindness in his right eye. Rude was wearing a camo T-shirt, which made him look like a soldier, he looked realy mature, but he was only 19, just a year older than Reno.
"I just had to say goodbye to Mom," Rude replied.
"It's a shame that we have to leave town,"
"Yeah, but the Shinra dorms are suppossed to be good,"
"I heard the bed's were made of rock,"
"That's just a rumour,"
"Yeah your probably right, but even so, don't throw anything fragile on the beds on our first night,"
"Where is that bus?"
"Who knows, but it has to go from Kalm to here so no wonder it's late,"
"Kalm is about, five miles from here so the bus will be about, Ten minutes,"
"Thnk you Mr. Maths wizz," Reno said sarcasticly just as the bus pulled in outside their houses "Well, well, well it looks like the bus is'nt gonna be late after all,"
The bus driver slipped open the door and Reno and Rude climbed in. The bus had dark brown seats made of leather, each seat had enough room for three people. It was just a total waste of time spending money on a bus this size, since only two people from each town , and only a few towns had enough good soldiers. It had been 8 years since Tseng had went to the presidents office and 8 more towns had been burned down. One recruit had been in the Turks and had died in battle, according to Shinra. The bus drove down the road. Rude looked out the window and waved to his mother outside his house door. The bus had gone away from the small town of Nillm.
"Well so long, mind-rottingly boring piece'a crap town," Reno grinned "Hello wealth and fame throught the world!"
