Ahh, we come to level 6 at last, this level rocks. It features many tough parts, one of which is the hardest part of the game in my opinion.
OK, remember that hard part I told you about? This is it right here, the toughest part of the game, the part that stole the most of my lives over the years. But I've mastered it, so watch the above sequence carefully, first jump toward the flame laser, then as the laser comes out to kill you, jump back, and then jump back across as the laser has just barely come back to it's starting position. It takes time and practice. You could try to go the bottom route but you have to do the same thing, and it's harder.
Right here you have one of two options. Either jump the top flame laser or get up to the very edge of the platform and wait for both lasers to come out at once, then jump to the bottom as they go back in and jump to the other side. Remember to get the barrier right here.
The barrier should last all the way until almost the end of the level.
Here we come to the male cheerleader cyborg! This guy takes some practice, though he's not anything too tough, and is the only boss in the game that looks human. Jump his discs, jump over him when he walks toward you, and blast him when you get the chance. After a while he turns red and not long after that he explodes, ushering in the signature Contra ending-level tune and opening the way to level 7.
