- The commercial for this product made R2D2 do a lot more things than it can actually do. It turns out that if you want R2D2 to move as well as it does in the commercial, you have to spend another $200 US to $300 US on extra programmable sensors and an RCX. All R2D2 does without the extra parts is move back and forth through detection of light changes. After building R2D2, I wasn't especially happy with how tall it was. It only stands about 23 cm tall (much shorter than I had expected). Although it is a neat toy to play with, I think it is overpriced.
