Phyrexian Processor and Angelic Chorus
How it works:
Bring out the Processor and pay like 10-15 life. With the Chorus out, you can gain a ton of life when a minion comes out.
Crypt Rats and Spirit Link
How it works:
Use your head. For each creature in play, you gain one life for each 1 damage you spend with the Crypt Rats if it has a Spirit Link on it.
Sliver Queen, Ashnod's Altar, Heartstone and Stream of
Life
How it works:
You tap the land to put in a 1/1 sliver token into play with the sliver queen. You then
sacrifice the token to Ashnod's Altar for two mana and use those two mana to get two tokens and
so on and so on. When you have somewhere around 512 or more mana, tap the forest and all the
colorless mana and play Stream of Life. You will gain 512 life or more.
Any en-Kor and Wall of Essence
How it works:
Combat damage dealt to an en-Kor can be redirected to the Wall of Essence to gain life. The more toughness the Wall has, the more life you gain.
Phyrexian Dreadnought and Diamond Valley
How it works:
If you like fooling around with the new rules, this combo is for you. Bring out the Dreadnought and activate the Diamond Valley, sacrificing the Dreadnought for 12 life. All this for a mere one mana. UPDATE: THIS DOESN'T WORK NOW, UNDER THE NEW ERRATA.
Yawgmoth's Bargain and Peace of Mind
How it works:
Pay 1 life to draw a card and pay 1 white to ditch the card for 3 life. Wash, rinse and repeat.
Serra Avatar and Spirit Link
How it works: Double your life every time you attack or block with the Avatar. Natural Affinity and Congregate By: Sax
How it works:
Simple, use Affinity to make all lands 2/2 creatures, then
Congregate.
How it works:
When you need life and got mana to spare, sacrifice the Avenging Angel with
Worthy Cause and gain 3 life, the Avenging Angel returns to the top of your deck
as an ability, and you can buyback Worthy Cause to do it again. (I know it's a
mana over use but it is a combo :)
How it works:
Play Aluren, then play a Soul Warden for free. Then play a Man-o'-War. When it
comes into play return it to your hand and gain 1 life. Then play it again.
And again. It's basically infinite life gaining.
How it works:
Pay 2 mana to get a token. Sac
the token for 2 mana to get a new one. Repeat it endlessly to gain unlimited
life through your Soul Warden.
How it works:
First you pay some life to draw cards until you get your Library of Leng and your Ivory Tower. Then you play both of them and gain a ton of life per turn with Ivory Tower
How it works:
Play Highway Robber, your opponent loses two lives and you gain two. Sacrifice
Highway robber and use Haunted Crossroads bring him back and gain two life deal
two damage. Repeat as necessary.
How it works:
When a creature comes in to play you gain 1 life. When a creature is
put in a graveyard from play you gain 1 life.
How it works:
Put the Armadillo Cloak on Treva, the Renewer, making it an 8/8 trample with
with flying. When Treva, the Renewer deals damage, gain the 8 life from the
Armadillo Cloak. Then use the Tidal Visionaries to change your opponent's
permanent colors. Use Treva, the Renewer's ability to choose the color of
the permanents changed by the Tidal Visionaries and gain that much life plus all
of the other permanents of that color.
How it works:
Play Angelic Chorus, and then bring out a Serra Avatar. Your life will double
each time you bring out a Serra Avatar, so you should have 4 in your deck, and a
way to return creatures to your hand, such as Snap.
How it works:
Sacrifice Serra Avatar with the Worthy Cause, pay buyback,
multiply your life and the Serra Avatar is in your library again.
How it works:
Use all the mana to put a lot of charge counters (say about 20) on
Ventifact Bottle, then next turn play Stream of Life to use the mana produced by
Ventifact Bottle.
How it works:
Play the Stormscape Battlemage with the white kicker to gain 3 life. Then play the Cavern
Harpy to "gate" the Stormscape Battlemage back to your hand. Pay 1 life to bring the Cavern Harpy
back to your hand as well, and repeat.
