Planetweb Discusses Next Browser
On Monday night Planetweb was going to discus about the upcoming browser for the
Dreamcast. The company was going to discuss ever detail, from MP3s to Flash.
Planetweb even discussed a “Force Feedback” that would allow the designer of a
webpage to actually have you “feel” the content on the web page. Another interest was
the expandability of the VMU and upgraded Javascript support.
Peter Moore, Senior VP of Marketing, Sega also commented this: "As Sega moves
forward into a critical year, we are looking for products and services that will provide
Sega Dreamcast Network consumers with as much value-add as possible. The
improvements made to the Planetweb browser, including the addition of MP3
compatibility, will enable us to take gaming to the next level. The complete Internet
gaming experience is right around the corner and Sega is the only company that will
bring it to the gaming community.''
