Planetweb Discusses Next Browser
On Monday night Planetweb was going to discus about the upcoming browser for the Dreamcast. The company was going to discuss ever detail, from MP3s to Flash. Planetweb even discussed a “Force Feedback” that would allow the designer of a webpage to actually have you “feel” the content on the web page. Another interest was the expandability of the VMU and upgraded Javascript support.
Peter Moore, Senior VP of Marketing, Sega also commented this: "As Sega moves forward into a critical year, we are looking for products and services that will provide Sega Dreamcast Network consumers with as much value-add as possible. The improvements made to the Planetweb browser, including the addition of MP3 compatibility, will enable us to take gaming to the next level. The complete Internet gaming experience is right around the corner and Sega is the only company that will bring it to the gaming community.''

Time Stalkers Get Official Release Date
SEGA updated the release date of the release date of the second US RPG, Time Stalkers, to a March 21 release. After multiple changes, the game has now been given an official release date.

Eidos Recieves Olympic Thrown
Eidos announced that they will be developing all of the Olympic video games this year. Several online shop already have already add Sydney 2000 to their list for an August 2nd release date, although Edios hasn’t confirmed it. But, that release date looks very likely.

Typing of the Dead Get Tagged
The game that allows you to use your typing skills to kill your enemies, Typing of the Dead, is scheduled for a March 30 release date. The game itself will have a retail value of 4,800 yen and 8,800 with a keyboard. Guessing by the type of tender, yen, I would guess that this is a Japanese release date.

Grand Theft Auto 2 Delayed
The Dreamcast version of Grand Theft Auto 2 has been delayed, from which was originally scheduled for a March release has been pushed back to April. Although this might not seem like a huge delay, some people were just hoping for some felony fun.

Ecco Delayed
Ecco the Dolphin: Defender of the Future is being delayed. Ecco was originally scheduled for an European release of April 21st, but will be held off til sometime this summer. Although in its beta stage, there are still several minor wrinkles to iron out, such as pop-up and, in some areas, empty space to fill. There isn’t an official release date set by SEGA, as of yet, but I’ll let you know when I find out.

Test Drive: Off-Road 3
Infogrames announced that Test Drive: Off-Road 3 for the Dreamcast. They also said that they hoped that they could release it sometime in June 2000. The 2nd sequal will allow gamers to customize their vehicles, which includes everything from the tires to the suspension. The game will also include tracks from real life places and 15 licensed vehicles. Here is a list of some of the announed vehiles for Off-Road 3.

Acclaim To Release Big One
The first bit of Dead or Alive 2 news conserns the publishing of the game. Tecmo has signed Acclaim as the publisher for most of the world including: North America, Japan, and South East Asia. Look for Dead or Alive on your gaming store selves soon.

The second bit of DOA2 news conserns a large amount of video clipings and such. You can find all the smooth fighting action at SegaWeb.Com. There you can see all the footage that you could have ever hoped for. You can also see the time and effort that Tecmo put into this game to make it the most graphically advanced Dreamcast game to date! So, if I were you I would just click THIS.

Free Dreamcast___Japan
The Japanese always get the good stuff. They get games before us, they get to go to a big E3 type event where anyone can go and not just media, and now a free Dreamcast when subscribed to Free-DC.com’s internet service. The first 50000 customers who signed onto a one year internet plan received a free Dreamcast. The Japanese are so lucky.

Donald Duck To DC
Ubi Soft has decided to to help Disney get there beloved duck to the Dreamcast. The game, starting Donald Duck, should follow along the same gameplay as Rayman 2. There should be more news to bring you after E3.
