These are Old Glory Hun Cavalry models that I use for my Light horse unit. These guys are mostly likely a little early for the era that my Byzantine army is modeled for, but I had to do with these for the tournament. I picked up some OG Pechenegs since then and hope to have these really to assist and/or replace the Huns in my mostly cavalry army list that I am thinking of using at Fall In 01.
The standard bearer is borrowing one of the extra Mongol standards that I had in my bits box. All the models were armed with throwing spears and javelins under the Light Cavalry option in the Byzantine army list. Having a high weapon & ballistic skills (4) makes these cavalry unit especially effective. The bow & arrows modelled on the miniatures are ignored....when I get around to doing a Late Roman army (way in the future), I can use these guys for their allies.
