Foundry Hittite Spearmen advance toward the enemy. Sometimes there's a regiment in your army that is just plain lucky. Morale, panic and break tests are passed without worry. These guys did that for me throughout the Fall In 1999 tournament. In one particular instance, this regiment fought off a large unit of crazed Celts. They loss every round of combat (I hate those Celt Chieftans) but passed each break test. Despite their efforts, I still lost the game but the spearmen made a reputation for themselves. Therefore, in the next tournament I will use them to represent a unit of Hittite Guards.
Same unit different angle. I like the advancing pose. Unfortunately, there are only two figures of spearmen advancing available, so in this unit I mixed things up by giving a few guys shields.
Hittite Spearmen (Old Glory) actually, there is one Ral Partha Hittite in the back row his spear is different from the rest. I usually include two units of Spearmen in my army. They are armed with thrusting spears so they are a defensive unit. I used plastic spears for these guys. For shields, I used a mix of Foundry, OG and Ral Partha.
