Requirements for Company Commanders
- Future Company Commanders will be required to physically (online) present themselves before the
promotion board for consideration to command a company. Company Commanders
are expected to be familiar with SOR's Code of Conduct, Officer's Creed, AND, the history
of the 160th Special Operations Aviation Regiment. Once the officer has present himself
before the promotion board, and answers whatever questions they may have, they will then
meet with the Regimental CO and Regimental XO for further questions. At this time, you will be
informed as to whether or not you will assume command of a company in SOR.
If you desire a Company Command position within the 160th Special Operations Aviation Regiment (SOR) you
you will meet these requirements. The regimental commander will not entertain requests for
company command as of 3 Jan 00!
- All Company Commanders shall determine who is eligible from there company to be Combat Ready
- All Commanders are responsible for ensuring there members get needed training to be Combat Ready
whether you or someone else trains them
- DO NOT recruit someone and forget them, They are a member of our team and we want them to feel
like apart of the team....The more experienced players you recruit will have no problem falling in place
with the team. It is the Pfc's and Cpl's this rule is primarily directed, it is your job to help them
- There are 35 members to each company including yourself. You should try and keep 15 in your
company at all times 10 of which should be active. An active player is a player that averages 2 games a
day approx 30 games a month. These are minimums you should always strive for more. This is a hard
task believe me I know!! You have to at least do this every other month, 2 Straight months of not
accomplishing this task and may result in loss of Company.
- Company Commanders will be active players. If you will fall short of your 30 games you must advise the
Regiment Commander or Regiment Executive Officer prior to the end of the month.
- All Company Commanders will appoint there Platoon Leaders & Squad leaders. These positions shall
have minimum rank of Sgt and must be an active player. How you determine who is appointed to these positions is
up to you. When you appoint a Platoon Leader or Squad Leader you must notify the Regiment
Commander by email unless you have your own Company Page.
- All Company Commanders are urged to to get and maintain there own web page. The Regiment will
maintain a web page for the Company. If you would like to maintain your own Company page you must notify
the Regiment Commander. It must be updated
on a regular basis and contain a link to the Regiment Home Page. When your web page is complete a
link to it will be added to the company page. The Regiment will supply any help or pic/gif needed.
- When you recruit someone it is your responsibility to make sure they visit to web pages on a regular
basis. It is also important you get them to provide an active email account. That is the only way they
will get any information sent thru email. Company Commanders are required to maintian an email account.
- Under no circumstances will a company commander or game OIC berate or otherwise yell at a subordinate who displays a degree of
initiative in a game. Aggresive tendancies in this regiment will be nurtured and developed. If a subordinate initiates
an action that is designed to exploit an enemies weakness and does not succeed, he needs to be encouraged to continue
exercising the intitiative and to learn from his mistakes.
- The Regimental Commander reserves the right to remove any Company Commander without notice from his or her
position if the above rules are not followed. There are alot of members who want the position of
Company Commander and this is the only fair way I know to keep Commanders that really want to help
the regiment and not just have the position.
Remember the best players on Chain of Command do not always make the best Commanders you were
given the position because we felt you deserved it not because of the way you play.
- Each Company Commander will be required to assist with planned regimental training days, as well as conduct training days within their
respective company.
